Can 5 days make a difference in my harvest?

It's been 51 days since I induced flowering for my Green Crack clone. I've been growing outdoors in Fox Farm soil, she gets about 10 hours of direct sunlight/day, and I stopped giving her Tiger Bloom nutes about 7 days ago. Her trichs are mostly white-cloudy with a few amber trichs on each leaf (no more than 15%-20% amber trichs). I'm leaving for the weekend tmrw (7/15) and returning on Monday and I'm afraid that when I return her trichs will be more than 50% amber and she won't be nearly as good of a smoke (I prefer the head buzz)! Being that she's at 15%-20% amber trichs, is it possible that she will be 50%+ by next Monday (within 5 days)? I won't be around and it's my frist harvest and i feel like i should be there to watch over my buds! My buddy will watch over her but I dont want an untrained eye monitoring the drying process (not that I'm an expert, but still).

What do I do!?!?! Do I wait till i return? i think that's my best bet and i'll hope that she doesnt mature too much in the next 5 days (total of 56 days since flowering induced). Perhaps i put her int he shade to slow her maturity while i'm gone. Pics attached - Please help!!!! She's my first!

take something just in case, I had a cool 1/2 # GC outside last year, it got ripped 4 days before I was planning on harvest. I almost called my mom to have her cut it down for me 2 days before it was ripped... Trust Your Gut, instincts don't lie.

your gonna be waiting more than 5 days before that thing gets ripe.. try another 2 weeks at least. counting the tranisition period veg-flower as flowering time is wrong!
leaves do have ALL red trics way before the buds get ripe.

I'm guessing that these flowered from being put out in Spring?
Now it's summer and they may be getting confused, it almost looks like it's trying to revert to veg.

There are some nugs and they look like they will be tastey as Green Crack usually is great, you just probably won't yield much. I'd cut some now and some when you came back just to compare..

Hey smokey thnka for the input. I'm counting flowering days from when I saw her first white pistils - not sure if that means I'm counting wrong days. Thanks for the note about leaves with red trichs - I haven't looked at her buds only the leaves, so it's good to know they mature at different pacing. I'll inspect her buds more closely to see where she's at. Anyone know the best place to inspect her buds? Bottom of the bud formation? Top?

Great to hear from u jtr! With respect to her green leaves, dothey turn a different color when she passes peak ripeness? Or we jsut talking ovrall health?
Hope your root project continues to kick ass

Imo, if a plant is still healthy and green the window for the trichs turning is much longer.

No offence Tox, but it does indeed look like it's re-vegging? I'm sure it will still work jus fine though, enjoy. BC

The leaves colour is nothing to do with it, that is usually down to when you switched to low N feed, in Soil there can be enough to keep it greener than a Hydro system where you can cut the N down to 0 on the first day of flower... it has nothing to do with best Harvest date really....

I am a big fan of leaving flowers to finish properly, most people I persuade to experiment end up preferring the more mature buds. If you take some of the plants down, label them and take photos, then wait a little longer for the other parts to finish, label and photograph those also, compare... this way you really learn what they look like when you get the best bud, then you can repeat the 'trick' and know exactly what your ideal bud looks like and when to take the crop down. Counting days is never reliable as different environmental factors [e.g. a few humid days] can slow a crop down, so if you religously take plant X on 55 days, it may sometimes be a few days early, giving less smell, taste and potency....

ripped means someone jumped into my back yard, grabbed my lady and ripped her out of the ground and enjoyed my hard work I'm sure.

i was refering to the general health of the plant when i spoke of the leaves bieng green ....to me green leaves just means the plant is healthy ,, and could handle longer time in flowering ....if you have began to flush the plant and it is still green it can go longer....keep track of the tric's and give it some time to flush and mature i think youll be fine ..... are you covering it up at night or just leaving it out

Wow that looks cool! I hate to say it but "Man those girls are reveging" I would that the bud soon, the longer the plant has to reveg the trics will start to be reasorbed *? I use to reveg all my girls in the ol days and thats just what they looked like. Im sure the nugs you get will be tastie. Just as a note for you, if the girls get "any" light at all more than 12 hours they will more than likely want to reveg. I would use a black plastic bag over her to cut out any extra like.
Peace

Hey Jack, I've been flushing for about 10 days and she's still very green. At nght I leave her uncovered - what would happen if I cover her?

Yo deez that is some bullshit. Sorry your girl got ripped, some people are cowards and dicks, no repsect

I would call Whad's Mom to cut it for you.
