Rolling joints in cigarette tubes: Do filter tips take out too much THC?

I discovered cigarette tubes today and it seemed like an awesome way to smoke weed stealthily while driving and at work and so on. I did a bit of research about it and saw a lot of people sayign to take the filter tips out because it absorbs THC. However a lot of stoners complain about things taking out THC when in fact the effect is negligible. According to a scientific study I read on the matter, a filter tip and a bong cut out the same amount of thc (30% less THC reaches the smoker than an unfiltered joint). Im sure it absorbs some THC but does it absorb enough to be wasteful?

Also who else has smoked with these? I dont smoke cigarettes at all and dont care for them.. does it have a nasty taste? Is there nicotine in the cig papers? How fast does it burn? Im mainly interested in the stealth, as opposed to something I would use as a regular way of smoking.

I remember wondering this and talking to friends about whether it would be worth it.
We all came to the same conclusion - no need really.
There are papers you can buy now that look exactly like cigarettes. Around here they are called Urban Wraps - just like joint papers but colored to look like cigs.

All you need to do is put a convincingly long enough mouth piece in the front and you should be stealth until someone comes about 5 feet into you - then they can just smell the herb.

I had the same idea, and they do not get you as high as regular joints. That said, if you're going to be chiefing one in the car they are quite low-key. I poke out a hole in the filter so I get the stealth benefit but still get high. Who gives a fuck if it's bad for you, everything fun in life is bad for you.

The taste is fine btw, and they're safe. There's also a sweet machine you can get to pack them.

Hey thats a GREAT idea. I guess if I cant find the Urban Wraps DankSide mentioned Ill go with the cigarette tube and poke a bunch of holes in the filter with a pin. How is the burn rate? I common complain that I read is the paper burns too fast so you waste weed.

You can pull out the inside of the filter and make a joint filter instead, keeping the outside of the original filter.

to small it will just go through the cotton, use a nail and jab like 4 holes in it

Cigarette papers do not work so well with pot due to burn rates, in my experience. Then there's the filter. Maybe those Urban Wraps would be better. And of course, the smoke odor will always be a dead giveaway. Maybe if you water-cure your stash and mix it with some tobacco you can mask the smell.

There are all sorts of products for you out there that dont have to be cigarette papers.

Cigarette papers are normally harsh and made cheaply. I would never smoke a joint from from a tube. You need to use a quality paper, that is made well. Then you could get all sorts of filters to block the unwanted elements of plant combustion.

If your looking to be stealthy what i do is hollow out a colt mini and fill er up and it works perfect and it barley smells like weed when your somkin it and they taste great you can get all different flavors.
