Some mini splits dont come with a plug on the end, just bare wire. You can hard wire it or install your own plug.
Mine came bare; this is the plug I put on it...

awesome man i see alot of them are like 10 amps for cooling i dont plan on using the heating so i could have a electrician get rid of the wire and add a plug. if the unit is 208-230 volts i couldnt have a 110 volt plug put on it? stupid question but heyyyy maybe?

The plug I used is rated for 15 amps. The 20 amp ones used a different plug, the prongs were different.
Thats all I can/will say because I am not well versed with things electrical and I dont want to give you wrong info and end up burning your house down.
Their are plenty of guys here with mad electrical knowledge, they'll chime in soon I'm sure.

hey evlme was your unit a 208-230 volt unit or a small 110 unit?? cause if yours was rated at 208-230 volts and you switched to a 110 volt plug then im fine the 24000 BTU unit im getting uses 9.7 amps but its 208-230 V rated.

heres the ac im interested in. it needs no vacuuming.

You can't plug a 208-230v appliance into a 110v socket! Well, you can, but it will either not work or will not work and fuck up your appliance.

do mini splits use an outside electrical plug from the outdoor compressor unit?? or is it done inside your home from the inside a/c unit? just trying to figure out where the outlet will go, for the future. always brainstorming

Yes, the outside unit is the one that gets power.
The cord goes from your power source to the outside unit, then another cord goes from the outside uit to the inside unit.
Some people hard wire the power cord to an outside breaker, like your home central air does, but since mine is only 110v I ran the power cord back inside and installed a plug on the end and plug it in like any other appliance.
Hope I didnt confuse you
