Can someone explain the two chemD cones that are out. There should only be one it seems, so i dont really understand why the are to varieties. i heard one is more sativa and the others leans indi. side by side pics would be cool if someone has grown both.

There can't be two Chem D clones out there, one of them can't be real. A cut is a cut is a cut, chem d is a cut from a plant started by Chem. Enviorment may have a hand in the differences between cuts that are grown out but if it is the real deal then it's still the same cut and the differences won't be that pronounced. There is one Chem D cut, period. If you have two different cuts that are supposed to be Chem D at least one of them isn't real.

I have no idea why there would be two chem d cuts. Hehe as Rudedewd said, a cut is a cut is a cut.. Exact replicas of the mother plant.

I hope people dont og the chem d lol... Anything that is not THE D CUT is a s1, hybrid, or the same darn cut stressed out, and called *All New* (she yields worse, hermies a bit, but wow the flavor is awesome:smile:)

Yeah, what they said^^

BUT, there was a clone going around people were calling 'Our' D or or maybe it was 'R' D...

Sorry, don't have much info but try searching for it

well if chem got 6 seeds out of his lb, there could conceiveably be 6 diff cuts/clones out there if the seeds were all ladies. i'm not in the 'circle' to get a cutting of chem (or any other elite), but have bought and grown a few diff variety of chem seeds from rez, and the weed is good, but certainly not the 'holy-grail' we have and continue to search for....

I've come across what you're talking about. If you're in the SF Bay area there is something like that going around. Pretty sure it's a specific group of people. Pretty sure I know what that cut actually is and yes from what I understand one of the original Chems that may have gotten mislabeled along the way. Not the D or the 4 and most likely Chem's Sister...if it is what I think it is.

Well there's also chem3 we were calling sour og for a bit...badass plant

To complicate things even more!

But still only one D...

Yup Chem 3 which some say is Sour Diesel so can understand why it may be called something like Sour OG. Yeah only one Chem D but with peeps starting to put beans out I'm sure cuts will start to get passed around and they will be labeled Chem D either intentionally or out of ignorance and guessing within a few years there will be many Chem D cuts floating about...lol.

That Chem's Sister is some tasty stuff!

as soon as someone takes a cut of rez' chem d cross, there will be a cut floating around cali that folks will pass out as chem d. and then when others cross chem d and get a nice pheno, there will be another cut of chem d, and again and again....makes me soooo happy i got the cut(twice-thanks bro), the verified cut, before it went into og status. im sure rez' and all the others coming soon will be awesome smoke, but its nice knowing what the 'baseline' for real chem d is.

Brief background:

At a Grateful Dead show at Deer Creek Amphitheatre, 'joebrand' (aka 'wonkanobe') and 'pbud' met 'chemdog' and sold him an ounce of very high quality pot for $500. joe and chemdog exchanged numbers and they later arranged for two ounces to be shipped to chemdog on the east coast. According to chemdog, one ounce was seedless and the other had 13 seeds.

In ’91, chemdog popped the first 4 seeds. From these seeds, one male was found and disposed of (chemdog was young, you can’t blame him). The 3 females were labeled ‘chemdawg’ (now ’91 chemdawg), ‘chemdawg a’ (now chemdawg’s sister), and ‘chemdawg b’. In '01, chemdog and his girlfriend attempted to germ 3 more seeds, labeled ‘c’, ‘d’, and ‘e’. the ‘e’ seed never germinated, ‘c’ turned out to be junk (according to chemdog), and chemdawg ‘d’ was the keeper. In '06, 'chemdog' and 'joebrand' reunited and joe was given 4 of the last 6 beans: Chemdawg phenos 1-4, '4' being the chosen keeper. Joe thought the '4' was the best representation of the original and thus dubbed it the 'reunion pheno'. Chemdog still has two seeds left in his stash.

Chemdawg Crosses:
'OG Kush' (the original cut) came from an s1 from in a bag of '91 Chemdawg in the Lake Tahoe area in 1996.
'Sour Diesel' aka ECSD came from an accidental cross of ('91 Chemdawg x Mass Super Skunk/NL)x DNL after the DNL hermed and seeded the room. The DNL's lineage is NL/Shiva x Hawaiian.
Original Diesel' (also known as Diesel #1, Headband, Daywrecker Diesel, Underdawg) came from a cross of '91 Chemdawg x (Mass Super Skunk x Sensi's Northern Lights) done by a guy known as ‘weasel’.

• 'chemdog' and friends made several crosses that are held closely by a small group of friends and acquaintances. Among them are:

1. Super Snowdawg (Bubble Chem x [Super skunk x Oregon Sno])
2. Giesel (Chem D x Mass Super Skunk)
3. Bubble Chem (Chemdawg’s Sister x Sag's Bubbleberry)
4. Dawg Daze aka ChemHaze (Chem D x ’93 Sensi's NL#5/Haze)
5. Chemdawg D x Pbud (another old-school Colorado strain)

here's the our d story. from the horses mouth.....
Hello evry1. Been a long time since I posted but i have seen some confusion regarding the Richies D cut.

Richies Diesel was named by myself. It was named so to identify it apart from the other Diesels and pay respect for a dear friend that passed. It came from a seed years ago a friend of mine named Ritchie gave to me as Diesel. We grew it for a couple years thinking it could be diesel but after getting the Sour and the Chem later on we knew %100 that it wasnt a Diesel. What is it? Well none of us are really sure.. There is a possibility that its an older Nl5xHaze x Bubbleberry, but thats just speculation on my part. It reminds me of the Nl5xHaze that was around in the mid nineties. I named it Richies D when I tried to contact my old friend and possibly give it back to him if he wanted only to find out he had been killed the day earlier in a car accident. I never knew exactly what it was but at that point to me and my friends it became Ritchies' Diesel, because that is what he gave it to me as many moons ago..
I had to take a break due to the alarming fuel costs but i always have that one within arms reach from a friend, whatever it is, its very strong and will sit you down, yields ok, and blows out the room with that spicy funk.. :D
I hope it brings folks good times like it has for me :).. i had some pics on here but i guess with my inactivity they are no longer here :(..
Hope every1 is well.

All the best,
RO

Thanx for that info Frank. I know I got a sample of either Our or R D but can't remember what was marked on the bag but pretty sure Our. Definitely from a solid peep. He smokes a lot of Chem in general and did not get the impression he thought the Our/R was not related to the Chems. Was told by the guy when he handed it to me is basically 'This is what we call Our D'. Smoke was hashy but strongish pine and some earth notes.

Next time I see him will follow up.

Thought about that quote CF and I may be confusing the smoke sample I received and a cut of that mystery plant cause got em at the same time. Running that cut right next to surely legit Chem 4 and Double Underdawg and a distinctive smell on that one.
