Hello to all! I am green_smack. I am a beginner in cultivation right now but hope to improve to be a great cultivator. I am sure all the nice members will point me in the right direction. I am also new to this board. I have a lot of the equipment I need to go big including a ton of great genetics, space, and great lights. Just need good nutrients and a little co2. Oh almost forgot about the TLC they need!

I am using soil to see how I fare in the cultivation "game" I have 2 400whps/MH Then I have 7 90w led ufo's and 8 led grow panels. I have started a few plants just to see what 1 90w led ufo would do. I threw down 2 "Jacky White" feminized seeds and those beans sprouted with a quickness. They are now about 7 weeks old and are growing completely different but both very healthy. I will post pics of my 2 starters (test rabbits) asap. ThanX for all of the support already! It feels good to be here!

what nutrients are you planning on using?? what kind of soil mix?

i am running a drip system in 3" net pots in dutch leach trays under 1000 hps , a 600 hps and a 1000 mh.. i use almost the entire advanced nutrients line, with some other supplemented in(GH diamond nectar, and some others).. i am 4 1/2 weeks into flower and i will be uploading some pics here this week some time.. needless to say they are really taking off and every day i am noticing huge growth.. aside from a nasty root aphid infestation, i have been really lucky.. I was very concerned about temperature when i built my room so the extra measures i have instituted(extra AC, and full insulation) have really worked out as my room is never above 73..

i haven't used soil in over 8 years, and when i did i never had very good luck(lock-outs and deficiencies galore), but i was also a noob grower.. i have friends who have used soil and had great results, although in the long run they feel that hydro is just easier in ways..

thats quite an assortment of led's.. I am quite interested to see pics of the results, and hear about the grow.. are you planning on using the leds just for veg or for flowering also??

Jacky white?? is that a cross of jack herer and white widow?? what other genetics do you have?

I am currently flowering some pre 98 bubba kush, and a real prime 818/sfv OG Kush.. I am working on getting some Master Kush, and perhaps skywalker cuts here soon..

Here is a pic of 2 "Jacky White" plants. A cross of Jack and widow. Supposed to be femenized but we will see what we get. In the pic they are 5 weeks old in a garden store bought soil and perlite. W/fish by-product as Nutrients. I am just testing out 1 all blue 90 watt LED UFO

How long are you planning on vegging?

your pic would have displayed in post, all you need is a space between UFO and .. The only reason i know is cause i had the same problem :)

Fish by-products are real good, just be careful not to use too much as most soils contain a lot of the nutrients plants need for at least 40 days of veg.. thats where i ran into trouble back in the day, using too much and too strong of nutes , caused so many problems i had nutrient lockout after lockout, and deficiencies of all kinds.. really ended up causing much discouragement and i just quit.. My soil would end up turning to clay.. i experimented with perlite and other soil additives, to no avail, but i didn;t have ICMAG as a resource back then and was just a hobbiest.. Now i take it a little more serious...

ThanX for the big hello everyone! I am so ready to start a larger scale operation. I know have started with just 2 females with outstanding genetics but I need at least 15 of these girls to do what I need! Here are some more recent pics. We are gonna harvest in about 3 weeks. These pics are about 5.5 weeks into flower! Mind you there are only 2 90 watt leds on these girls!

Much thanks! I am going to start 2 ops. One using high wattage MH/HPS and the other all LED. I want to see how much they differ first hand. I am sure the results are bigger and better with the higher wattage lights!
