The last one that really stood out for me was a 1996 Marlstone from Clos Du Bois. It was a very nice blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 10% Malbec.

Ive heard pinot grigio is good... would like to try it.. I dont like bitter wines, I like them sweet lol
For sure Pimot Grigio/Gris can be finished sweet but not typical. Most US Gewurz and Reislings are poor compared to their German/Alsace counterparts but yeah great sweet wines would be something like a German Kabinet. To me desert wines like a Sauterne are not drinking wines but for sipping.Ive heard pinot grigio is good... would like to try it.. I dont like bitter wines, I like them sweet lol
I love Louis Jadot Beaujolais-villages!
A Pinot Grigio would be kind of crisp, possibly with a bit of sweetness.
For sweeter whites, check out the Rieslings or Gewurztraminer.
Then for even sweeter whites, check out some of the desert wines such as Sauternes, Muscat, or Monbazillac. These desert wines are within the $12 range and quite tasty.

Isn't it kind of like Champain without the bubbles?
