Fireworks....Post'em up....

Alright guys....title says it....in my state the good fireworks are illegal (among other good things )....UNLESS you buy them with a corporate/business credit card, have them shipped to said businesses address and apply for a display permit with the appropriate insurance riders......So after jumping through MANY hoops, here's what I have....

I also have a case of 500gr. repeaters and a couple of "finale" 500 gr.'s

The neighborhood loves me....I do this every year.

i miss going into china town,and getting fireworks....whole trunk full the dealers would have,all you'ed have to do is walk around,and you'ed have someone come up to you..

not anymore.....damn laws and crack downs

They sell everything in our state, but you are not allowed to set them off here. Yet the holiday is the only day they probably won't charge you. They sell some nice phantom fireworks, these things are pretty darn explosive. I wish I had a car, I would order some to the nearest non smoking tent!

we have a small lake near us that shoots of fireworks right over the lake...we take our boat out and float around and take lots of munchies and nuggys and watch the fireworks...they almost come in the boat we can get so close....its nice and relaxing and you can get away from the crowds and chill.

Yeah Mrs. B.....That's sounds awesome......The only place around here that does a decent display gets so damned crowded and I get like claustrophobic in big crowds like that....

And I really do enjoy doing it for everyone in the area....plus I can have my J and my beer while doing it.

The being on the lake, in the boat with Mr.....in the dark.....Oooooo.....Tunnel~O~Love comes to mind....

Fireworks are too expensive these days, I stopped buying them around 1985.

I do like the mortars though, they make a nice "thud".

We had a great time on the lake last night....we bbq'ed some delish steaks and puffed some yummy buds!!

Theres a spot on the lake where these birds sleep at night..ALL the trees are white from their poop!...real trippy looking....not sure how good you can see them but there must have been 40 or 50 of these birds just sitting in the trees.

as night falls...the lights of the boats come out...






heres some of the fireworks show....they had a big flyer about how far the boats should be back from the shore and it said that if it was breached the show would stop! hehe ..its pitch black out ...how ya gonna see if the boats a few feet over the boundry line!!

lol, was gonna call you out for photoshopping some laser effects in here until realized it was your shaky camera hand holds that caused the laser look to your mortar shots.......

the setting I used was for fireworks, however it recommended a tripod, which I didnt have... LoL but I did the best I could ty

I have a tripod, a pretty expensive one too. I always have it with me and never use it.

iGrow4Me, Nice pics mate. here in aus we can get some nice mortars(illegal) We can get the 4",8" and a 12" that is as big as a basket ball
They go up 1.5km 500m spread pattern and a 500 decibel explosion, You need a 4 foot steel tube on a spike to launch them but they are hard to come by now.
