Getting bigger. A few more days till flower...

There's a little burning. I upped the dose of the PBP on last feeding and I think they've had too much...

It's a good thing that I'm going to transplant them soon, so I can start fresh with less nutes.

Looking like some strong plants to me. Those early leaves are burnt some, but those new ones look nice and healthy. When you flip into flower begin with bloom fertilizer and those plants will use up that excess grow nutrient that is in the soil. Plus it will help from the plants stretching too much.

Lets hope for ladies...

Right. I also plan on leaving the MH in there for the first few days of 12/12 to help combat stretch.

Lets hope for ladies...
Well we really only have to worry about the two Kalichakras. The other five Mendocinos are female, though they could hermie, so I'll have to keep my eye out.

The soil dried out today, but I can't get to the garden center for a few more days, so they got a dose of water, molasses, Liquid Karma, and Cal-Mag.

They're looking good heading into flower. I hope both Kalichakras are female, I love that Downy flavor!

Those are some good looking plants. I totally forgot about those feminized seeds which is a nice surprise. You didn't get any hermies during your last run with the fem seeds did you? Hopefully you'll get a female Kalichakra....

Thanks.

All of CH9's Hashplants were females, not even a single male flower in the bunch. I'm willing to bet that this group will follow suit.

For those who aren't familiar with the strain, here is some info lifted straight from CH9's website.

Mendocino Fem.

An outdoor strain, grows perfectly indoor, that was re-worked here. This magnificent pot has a special flavor, with a delightful aftertaste. Orange, coconuts flavor, with an uplifting cerebral high. Great for closet & homebox garden.

Flowering time: 7-8 weeks
Indoor yield: 80 gr indoor with 30-45 days of veg
Outdoor yield: Average of 300 gr Outdoor or more depend on vegetative time and season, up to 500 gr
Lineage: Mendocino Madness X 3-5 Female pollen mixed (Jack Herer, Ersb, Hashplant, CH9 hybrid)
Bouquet: Flavor, Orange-Coconuts, earthy flower aroma
Type: Indica/Sativa

Sounds sweet...

Day 3 Flower

How are those plants looking?

Glad you asked.

I took this photo then gave the group a good watering. The soil was dry at least a few inches down and they've been drinking like champs lately.

I've been using 1 tsp/gal Liquid Karma, .5 tsp/gal Cal-Mag, .5 tsp/gal Pure Blend Pro Bloom (soil formula), and 1 tsp/gal molasses.

Aside from the leftover burning from the grow nutes, they seem to be doing well. In fact, it looks like it's time to raise the light again...

I've still got the MH bulb in, so they're not going too nutty, but they're still stretching at a decent rate. I'll probably put the HPS in within two-three more days.

Those plants are looking good. What you will really enjoy is how large those buds will get from that PBP Bloom for soil. I recently picked up some Hydroplex for soil (0-10-8) and can't wait to see what it will do.

Good looking plants and setup, currently have 3 CH9 Fem Mendocinos and 2 CH9 Fem Double X 11 days into flower under a 400w hps.

Subscribed to thread, cant wait to see how our mendo's end up comparing.

I swapped out my MH bulb for the HPS today. The soil is staring to get noticeably dry, so I'll probably hit 'em with some food and water shortly...

Nice looking ladies there. Have you considered trimming off those lower offshoots within the next few days? In that tree style, it really helps yield concentration towards the tops where all the light is. The only downside to the 250w is the lack of penetration power.

You will really be blown away by that PBP Bloom for soil. Just you wait...

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It'd gotten a little quiet in here lately, it's good to know I've still have a few people looking over my shoulder.

I didn't trim off the undergrowth on my last grow, so I ended up with a whole lot of popcorn nuggets and not so much main cola-ey goodness. This time around I think I'll take your advice and give them a quick snip.

Also, I'm already pretty happy with the PBP Bloom for soil and the PBP series in general. It seems much more balanced than the FloraNova I was using earlier. Not to mention I don't have to underfeed the ladies just to keep them from burning, despite the fact that I managed to over-feed them anyways. That's what I get for being over-anxious, I guess. Either way, they seem to have made a full recovery and then some.

I went ahead and pulled the Kalichakra male, leaving 5 Mendocinos and a lone Kalichakra female. Not bad for a small grow.
