Perpetual Grow - Odor control for 25 + 25 Plants (Help Needed)

I would run something in the 800+cfm range with a quality carbon scrubber (cheap ones use less carbon). Also, please explain why you are moving flowering plants from one room to another mid flower (just curious)

So my second question is, what type of carbon filter should I get from the 3-6 week flowering room (First stage of flowering in the perpetual grow)? Since I would "assume" it wouldn't have as much of a smell.

Bad assumption. I've had plants go weeks in flower before they smell and others stink to high heaven within days of the 12/12 flip. Unless you KNOW otherwise, I'd plan on it stinking beyond belief. Can we really be too safe in this area?

I wouldn't fool around. Get a carbon filter for each room! As FreezerBoy said,"Can we really be too sate in this area?".

You could try cycling it on and off and you might be OK during early flower, that's something you would have to decide yourself. But for the number of plants that you are talking about I wouldn't hesitate to run constantly, both rooms. Control that odor!

since we obviously like to garden, I would also grow some herbs, lavendar, basil, dill is also good, etc.. they make some very hardy lavendar that you can put right in a flower garden, maybe with a exhaust vent hidden close by.

also carbon scubber all the way.

Fans are a numbers game. Based on your numbers from the first post, you have 1080 cubic foot space that needs odor control. The general standard is that your grow space needs to vented every 2-3 minutes. This means that taking into consideration duct work & filter resistance, you need a fan that moves 360-540 cfm. I'd personally feel more comfortable with one that moves close to 540 cfm.

An 800+ cfm fan should be adequate, even after efficiency is lost due to your array of duct work and the fact that you'll be pulling through a filter.

Also, take into consideration that you have the option of filtering upon venting your room, or you can have it going all the time. If your room has at at least 10+ minute intervals where the room isn't being exhausted, then I'd go with a constant filtering system. The same 540 cfm fan will scrub the air about 5 times in 10 minutes, as opposed to scrubbing it once when it gets exhausted. You could also do both if buying multiple fans isn't an issue. . .

the most discreet room is located at the furthest point, however it is also the smallest (10x12x9 feet) with a 1000w Hortilux HPS. Lets call it "Flowering Room 2". I can only fit 25 plants in there, while I can almost double the amount of plants in the Early 1-6 week flowering stage room, "Flowering Room 1" (14x12x9 feet) due to its shape and smaller plants during this stage. The Flowering Room #1 will have two 1000 watt Hortilux Superblue HPS/MH combo bulbs.

Before you finalize that setup.... switch your room numbers.

Put the smaller flowering plants in the smaller room under the single 1K. They're smaller and you can fit more in there. When they get older, put them into the larger room with the twin 1K's where they have more room to finish flowering.

There are a lot of well done rooms that start with the plants on one table and a single light then move to two tables under 2 lights in the same room once they get too big for the single lamp. By having two rooms you have the ultimate in control. :D
Edit: 10x12x9 is also a pretty big room for a single 1K

This allows all stages of flowering to have their own perpetual stage with 25 plants and allows further stretching before the final flower room which only has to hold 25 at a time.

BeAutiful! :D So essentially you have a wonderful 'Finishing' room for my favorite sativas that take those extra couple weeks. How wonderfully thoughtful of you. :D Fantastic idea. :D
