I actually hate the chop at the end. It seems so counter-intuitive to be looking after a plant for months, spending time, money and resources to make sure every aspect of it's existance is as perfect as can be, making sure that every tiny detail of it's environment is optimum, and risking my ass to grow it, only to walk up to it with a knife and chop it to pieces at the end.

Just noticed the user a few up 'deathsoapbar' small world mate smoked it for years till I few years back.. only nice homegrown when available here ! Hey to anyone who hasn't heard of soap bar its low grade hash with little if no plant material in it, even plastic. Currently growin mazar with a few yellowing problems. But to the thread the things I hate are

1) Telling lies to close friends when they ask why I dont grow my own.
2) As mentioned before turning up home and seeing the fire engine
3) Worry the neighbours will hear the fans.
4) Spider Mites are the curse of satin hard to kill.
But hell its worth it and means I drink far less so thats gotta be good

Other than the obvious ones; the waiting, the fear, the lies (I've never had spider mites, huzzah for the Midwest) I hate the waste.

Back when I used to produce cannabis and after having gained much knowlege on the microscopic behavior of THC I became painfully aware of how much it gets wasted.

After reading the works of Bill Drake I was unable to happily smoke a joint/spliff for ages because I knew how inefficient they are at delivering THC. It got to the point where I refused to smoke out of anything but a small one liter gravity bong with a glass bowl (which can get over 80% THC utilization). It was even worse during harvest. Knowing that there's just no way to get 100% of the THC off of the plant and into my head always depressed me a bit. No matter how careful you are, no matter how good of a hash extraction you use, you're always gonna waste a little. Bugged me to no end!

Haha! I'm a bit more careful than a serial killer. Though it does feel strange chopping up and eventually burning something that I've put so much time, energy, passion, and care into.
