I planted two seeds in the same jiffy pot and now they seem like they are sprouting right next to each other.

When should i separate them, they are just breaking the soil

you should separate them before the roots will mix, that means in a day or two, maybe three. (after they break the surface and start to grow a little, but before thy grow too big roots..) if they are at least 1 cm apart, you should have no problem breaking the jiffy into 2 parts, without deranging the roots.

i separated the babies, and they seem to be doing okay. It looks like 8 seedlings have taken hold, but I'll keep the others going for another week.
