Another item that caught my eye was the assertion that hydoponic growing enhanced potentcy. While I understand that hydro will optimise potentcy, the genetics determine potency . Am I correct? IOW you cant put in whats not already there.

cannabis potency is measured via equipment that uses very fucking tiny samples
therefore you cannot take a sample of bud and test it reliably
(imagine how skewed the results could easily become)

you need to determine how much resin is produced on a given sample
and then test the thc cbd cbn etc in that resin

cannabis has remained at the same potency for years
its just that commercial cheap cannabis isnt the only option now a days for many people
so more samples of higher grade stuff are being found because police have more opportunities to confiscate that stuff

haze was around in the 60's and its still among the most potent

the only strains ive see that are more potent and dont contain these genetics at all, would be landrace strains which are the product of in some cases, centuries of growing in a certain area.

Yes sir... all you need to do is give the plant what it needs and it will produce the potency it was genetically written to.

Hydro doesn't optimize or produce better quality though, it's just a simple fact that it is "easier" to follow simple directions like 1 part this product, 2 part that product, 1/2 part another product, keep ph at this level, dont exceed ppm of this level... than it is to understand the biological processes of soil. So you end up with someone trying soil, mucking it up horribly because biology just ain't there thing, trying hydro and finding its easier... and then they tell the world how their hydro bud is just waaayyy better than they ever did in soil.

LOL on every single cannabis forum I've been on I always see people from europe complaining about salty buds and soap bar hash. I've never seen either in the USA.

I've also been told by numerous friends that the bud in amsterdam is drastically over priced commercial bud. fuck out there you can't even get BHO.

Exactly. I'd imagine anywhere you go, you'll find at least a small group of people dedicated to growing dank. Chances are it's grown indoors. Just like here. So I'm pretty sure you could find really good dank anywhere.

Yea it depends what part of the USA your from. NE can get some brick/schwag. Bordering canada it's kindve a given most of yours will come from there. If its not local indoor/outdoor.

I have seen American's on forums complain about contaminated weed, glass weed and sprayed weed. It's not a problem exclusive to Europe, but it's definitely more common over here in the UK.

In the UK (or at least down here in the south west), I would esimate that 80% of the commercial street weed is contaminated with something (sometimes they spray it with chemicals, sometimes they put glass beads in it, sometimes they just spray the buds with water to increase weight). Either way, it really is a problem.

Recently though I have been smoking Double Dutch, grown by a fellow for his personal stash, and it's very nice smoke. Like Daddy fingaz said, it's all about who you know and where you know.
