E Z Cloner Probs...

For me, hot water bleach was the key to successful disinfection. Cold water bleach does not work well enough.

I take off each of the misters and put them in a strong bleach/hot water solution and let it soak/shake for a while.

Then I dry everything off with clean towels.

Heat actually certain strains root faster; I've had as high as 86-88 degrees and i've seen nubs in 5 days, full roots in 7-10. Strain dependent, of course. The lack of a dome is something I think will lower the success rate of cloning for certain strains. I am going to pick up a PowerCloner to test it out as well.

I AM GLAD BEING CHEAP WORKS FOR YOU

should I ditch my $150 Air Jordans Nikes because I can get prowings for $20 too - you cna walk to the store in both right?

you guys are fucking silly

Are you telling me I'm fucking silly, because I don't have an EZ cloner?
I don't have one, because I don't need one.

mine grows new leaf every day keep temps 72 with a chiller and have an airstone .... not a problem a little hydroguard and some general hydroponic and we are set!!! you need cold water to promote new growth and keep the ph and nutients uptakes as the plant needs em i got 3 of them 120

no
i am telling you (and the clown with glasses) is that it is fucking silly to be giving those of us a hard time for the rooting choices we make. THAT IS WHAT I AM SAYING.

Just because you found success with frugality does not make you, or that method cloning, 'better'. Using a non aerocloner method does not make you an authority with pertinent knowledge and experience to help troubleshoot aerocloner problems. Obviously the only thing you fucking clowns can add to this particular conversation is 'anti aeroclone' propoganda.

i am glad you don't need an ez cloner. good for you. now go grow some good shit....

But hey, if it works for you, go for it!:joint:
This was the end of my original post. Closest thing to anti aero I got was wondering if they are worth the $.
Some folks believe so, nuff said.
I never said I, nor my method was better.
I gave nobody a hard time.
Never claimed to be an authority on anything.
Sweet pic.
This is off topic, I'm out.:abduct:

I apologize, but I have 90-100% success with Rapid Rooters and a $12 sweater box from Wal-Mart, I can't imagine these things are worth it.

Not being frugal, I'm using what works.

and what did any of that have to do with resolving homeboy's issue? Zero...

bye bye

I can't believe they're producing "ez cloners" with clear plastic reservoirs.
Sheer idiocy,imo.
Fwiw,Light is generally counterproductive to rooting.
That doesn't mean it won't work,it just means dark is better.
Clear plastic "looks cool",I'm sure that's why they did it.
Still,silly them-if they want it to run cooler,clear won't help much,anyhow....
If they gave a shit, they'd revise the incredibly inferior, current ez cloner design,to use of include the use of a more efficient pump instead of that behemoth turd of a pump that you could run a fucking zoo fountain or a hot tub, with.

shit i didin't realize that mrwags was rocking a 'cleary'

hey mrwags how did you come up on the clear one? i thought those were just the 'floor models'

the mag drive is a beast....

hey REZ i dont think they are producing ez-cloners with clear plastic reservoirs... i would think that mr wags got a deal on a display from his near by hydro shop... cause they use ones like that to show customers....... greyskull that is some sticky icky funk you got there... really sweet pic... oh yeah REZ,,,also really looking forward to hopefully getting a couple packs of sssdh when they are released to have something done by you for the first time...

It sure enough is a display model and I got another black one as well. If you use a 30 or a 120 you will not have heat issues the 60 site gets do damn hot like REZ said. The difference in the clear compared to the black in rooting success was negligible but I an the luckiest man on the planet.

i am liking the 1/10hp chiller addition I made to my 60 when my old pump failed (after years of constant service). totally kicking ass.... sour dub rooting in 5 days. luvin it.

hey what pump size is used in the 30?

W

w.wonka

is the pump on the 30 smaller than the 60??? if so could you use the pump from the 30 in the 60 to cut back on the water heat??? also why is there no heat probs with the 30 and 120 and there is with the 60 mrwags... i am going to get one of those chillers greyskull... but if there is a cheaper fix for the 60 then i might go that route...

grey; are you using the same pump for your chiller on your manifold or do you have two pumps? just trying to envision how it's all hooked up

Someone said they use the same pump on the 60 that they use for the 120 so I would imagine it's a smaller space and creating too much heat.

G

Greyskull

yep 2 pumps.
the mega monster mag drive for the manifold, and then a little pump(forgot the gph rating just hooked up what they gave me! probably 110gph) to send to the chiller.
will get some pics up in a minute for you to get the "full visual".

hehe... i figured it was two pumps; i have a 1/10hp chiller cooling my 50gal ro reservoir right now but u can never have too many chillers

pondmaster model 5 on the 30 site; guessing 500gph
pondmaster model 9.5 on the 120 site; ur guess is as good as mine

i don't have a 60 site

G

Greyskull

camera battery is dead but surprised to find pump is a 300pgh thang.
so there you go....

O

i would tape that clear ez cloner up so light dont hit the roots, I've thought those where only for show, I got myself the black ones work good but change the pump because its really poopy. Anyways temp 72 first few days alot of misting and your ready to be king of cuttings!!! i use rooting gel and cut some thick babys!!! roots should smell like they should go in your salad.

I don't have one, because I don't need one.

Then why on gods earth are you posting on a thread titled "E Z Cloner Probs." do you need help finding threads that apply to you? Because this one obviously doesn't.

Back to topic. House and Garden have a rooting product that has a anti fungal in it. its called Root Excelurator. It is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. 4 Bottles of it and you can buy a new ez clone. You only need to add it at 1.1ml per gallon though.

i've heard of people putting in their machines and saying they've had great results; i've never seen it; ewc tea is a bit more work but WAY cheaper and i've seen results with it

also there is a warning about running pumps 24/7 with the root excellerator and it falling out of the solution as a result so i'm not sure if the ezcloner would be the best application; plants in veg and flower love it; i think it's just a b1 kelp product alla thrive alive etc.. only use 1ml per gal so the expense is a bit exaggerated.. they have smaller bottles too ;)
