i think they're a great height :joint::joint::joint::moon: haha.

Ive begun construction of the veg room as you can partly see in the back shot. I am going to close it off via plywood and hang my 400 inside with a hole for venting.. still havent decided much of the rest.. anyway, im in the corner now, got the scrubber on, put up my mylar.. man that stuff is amazing.. the undergrowth gets so much more light! Now the wait for females begins.. with new seeds its always a big gamble but hey im trying to being optimistic lol

Day 1 12/12 here.. i flushed last watering 3 days ago with 2 gallons each bag with our well water with 4ml hygrozyme to get almost everything out.. in about 1 or 2 days ill be feeding the transition, followed by flower etc etc

heres some pics..!

mmk.. here we go.

I ended up with:

2 Pinebud X G13 girls.
2 SourDiesel IBL girls.

The City Park City is still small so she hasnt shown sex yet, however i just transplanted into a 3-gallon growbag.

I cut down all the males and kept 1 branch intact so I can move them out of the room to collect pollen with my trusty plastic bag cute-tip method.

I plan to make the following crosses on small labeled budsites.

-PBxG13 F2
-SD F2
-(PBxG13) female x SD male
-SD female x (PBxG13) male
-SD female x Blue Moonlite male
-(PBxG13) female x Blue Moonlite male

I have taken 3 clones from each female plant (12) and put them under a 70 watt HPS 24/0 light and today they have shown no signs of wilting and seem very happy. I used rapid rooters and olivia's cloning gel. I soaked the rapid rooters in a mixture of 3ml hygrozyme and 3ml b'cuzz root stim in 1 gallon of distilled. Finally gonna get some new moms!! ha im pumped about that. new seeds soon as well. As far as my veg room, i started construction but i dont need it yet so i've been rather lazy about it for the time being. Enjoy the show.

^^^ this picture of the clones is from yesterday but today they're all pointed toward the light and seem perfect.

not yet, checked this morning. its been 4 days, they still look perky and fine but it can take anywhere between 5-14 days depending on the strain.

WM, I see you have some nice crosses on the way. I still need to get a bit more oraganize before I start doing that, on purpose!

Questions though, I see you use the growbags. How do you like them? Any obstacles w/ them? Are you able to reuse a growbag or are they mainly grow and toss? Finally any problems w/ stability, punctures or breakdown of the plastic?

what i love about grow bags: dirt cheap (no pun intended) or is it?

what i dont love about grow bags: getting used to picking them up from the sides.

I figured i could carry them around by the top lip of the bag above the soil and ended up tearing a few so basically I had to get used to watering those slowly so water didnt pour out the side... yea its was a bitch, but next time it will be fine. once you get used to picking up the bag in the middle.. worth every penny.

If you like to tie your plants down like i do you just have to run your string underneath the pot (bag) and the weight will hold it down. prior to this I would use a holepunch and do it near the top of the pot multiple times :joint:

the grow bags dont breakdown or anything, unless of course you accidently set them on fire lol its basically a heavy duty garbage bag.. just scaled down to certain sizes. I bought em since they were like 45 cents each for the 3-gallon versus buying pots for $2+ each

thanks for stoppin by!

Thanx for the great answer. That's the kind of personal experience info I was looking for.

Now at $.45 a pop, 4 for the price of a $2 pot, not bad even if not reusable.

oh they're most definitely re-usable as long as you don't tear em up. treat them as you would your plants, with care and love.

Even better, so the material doesn't get brittle after a few runs under the light. Wow, sounds like it's the only way to go, barring any special requirements.

Slowly I'm amassing my bits and pieces of info for when I delve into soil/soilless grows in the furture.

small update:

the G13's I'd say are officially on Day 1 of flowering, tons of side growth, and the pistils have started to explode out. i tied both of them down 2 days ago and now they're all standing up looking happy and perky.

The Sd's havent shown me anything more than a couple pre-flowers, must be a slow start. they're definitely transitioning into flower though because under growth is rapidly catching up to the main top. anyway, slow start yes, but im sure they will have a strong finish... im thinking these are like the tortoise. They absolutely reek!

you must spread some rep before giving it to widowmaker again

good info on the grow bags..i was wondering about the weight and lifting them,, also saved me a headache for lst , I thought about using tape to hold the string to the bag but tape can get messy when adding more and more..

i started using bags receintly I think they will be a nice option to round pots..
till I break down and buy some square buckets :joint:

keep the updates comin

Update time:

The Sd's are on Day 3 of flowering.

The PBxG13's are on Day 7 of flowering.

Im pretty sure I have one of each of the sour diesel phenos expected. One is much larger and branchier than the other. Both smell very very sweet and extremely pungent. I'm sure within a week they will be showing me some more characteristics.

I must say that the 2 PBxG13's look extremely similar.. same branching, same height, not much stink yet but boy are they growing at a phenomenal rate.

pics really don't do them justice but here are a few:

^^SD #2 (about 1/2 the size of the other 3 plants)

^^PBxG13 #1 top

The last 2 waterings have been straight Spring Water with 2 drops of superthrive, as I think these ferts tend to be on the strong side in soil.

I've decided to water every other time with ferts at 50% (exception 5ML hygrozyme, 2 drops ST) from now on as they seem to be settled in... ill make sure they get plenty of runoff to flush excessive salts.

Update next week will surely be epic... I hope to give an in-depth view of my plans for my veg room.

oh almost forgot. The City Park City is looking nice, its a girl... small, 2 weeks veg behind... but very unique in leaf structure, and it smells quite sweet.

Peace,

~WM
