When to yell, "cut"

just wondering when is the right time to cut down my plants

its gonna be so hard seeing as this is my first harvest and all and they look so beautiful in all there glory

i was just wanting some different opinions on when is the right time to pull the plug

ive herd when the plant is like 75% orange or what ever color it may turn is this true???

how can u tell, i dont have a stechascope, and i really dont wanna just cut off a bud to tell if its ready or not

does any one have any pics or links that could help me out on this

checking out the trichomes is the only sure way tot tell when to chop, get a jewelers microscope. They have them at radio shack.
And make sure to flush, I flush mine two weeks prior to chop.

yes it is very important to me to flush its all about flavor and tast man i agree

im just so scarsd to flush with water for that long in my hydro and soil just seems like im hurting my babies especially in the hydro but qwe will see i guess

Pull a small nugget off at various stages of the flush, then you'll be able to see what length of flush you liked best. Two weeks is fine, I just did it and tbh I could have flushed much longer. You sort of want them to look a bit crap as that's the whole reason for flushing. Plants can store up a surprising amount of food and you want to get rid of most of it.

Adding blackstrap molasses will probably smooth the process as it has trace amounts of food. I used that for wk 1 and plain water for wk 2.
