was gettin worried about setanta myself-but i rec bravo will step in again, i miss the sunday night bravo ufc tbh.

why havent bravo shown anymore affliction again, was hoping that was gonna be a regular thing.

just remembered-them elbows snachez was chuckin when he was under guido was crazy-was waitin for his elbow to smash!-bet its fuckin hurtin right now though.

the johnson loss was the best of the night for me-guy was a prick-he got owned there, wasnt expecting that.

respect to that frankie fella-3 fights in 34 days. that kid had nothin to be sorry for-did the US team proud, remember him tryin to stick his mouthpiece back in and he couldnt as it had his fuckin teeth still stuck in it-and they needed pliers to get em out!.

Dana will sort him a contract i hope.

Yeah nordle sunday night ufc on bravo was cool. I think ur right about them stepping in if setanta went bust. I dont know why they havnt shown any more affliction shows, its a shame as we havnt got much choice over here, im hoping bamma will fill in my sundays after topgear lol.
Yeah those elbows were vicious, i think clays hair helped absorb them lol
I really liked frankie he has a heart of a lion, im sure dana will sort a contract out for him in the near future. I was pmsl when johnson lost, he got owed from the first second, did u see he prancing around like a caged animal b4 the fight??? I think that was nerves and the realisation kicking in lol unlike u nordle i thought our guy would beat him, but not in the way he did.

The whole card was pretty good on the UFC fight night on Spike. I was pullin for Diaz but it just didn't happen. He needs to work on his take down defense. The same thing happened in his last fight with Clay Guida. Just kept getting taken to the ground and the fight stayed they're the whole time. Then he ends up loosing a close split decision... I used to think Guida was a more exciting fighter than he is now. All he tries to do is take the guy to the ground. He achieved that in the fight but then didn't even do any damage. What a couple of elbows? He needs to put the pressure on them not just lay there and act like you,re hitting them... He barely one that fight against a much smaller Nick Diaz. I'm glad he lost I wanted Sanches to win anyways. I thought the fight was done after that head kick. Have to give Clay props for taking that kick and not giving up...
As far as that Affliction goes. I saw they have a new fight lined up. I think its in Aug or Sept, I'm not too sure though. Fedor is fighting on the card I think. They were talking about it on that "Inside MMA" show. Its on HD Net. Spossed to be the home of MMA. They always show fights from "DREAM" in Japan and stuff from different MMA fights on that channel.

Affliction has only put on two shows, so if you've seen 'Banned' and 'Day Of Reckoning' than you've seen it all. Their third show ('Trilogy') will be on August 1st though and it's another stacked card. Not quite UFC 100 stacked, but better than 95% of the shows the UFC puts on so make sure you check it out.

Fedor Emelianenko -vs- Josh Barnett
Gegard Mousasi -vs Renato Sobral
Vitor Belfort -vs- Jorge Santiago
Jay Hieron -vs- Paul Daley
Ben Rothwell -vs- Chase Gormely

That's the meat of the card. Should be another great show from Affliction. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the promotion following this event though seeing as how everyone's contracts will be up and there's no way they'll be able to hand out the kind of money they have been if they renew any of the contracts. I'm not sure how many of the fighters will like a huge paycut and they may decide to sign with other organizations. Sobral, Mousasi, and Santiago already have contracts with Strikeforce, Dream, and Sengoku respectively so it'll be nothing for them to leave if they're not happy with new terms. Also, the UFC has already said they will sign Barnett if he beats Fedor and there's a real good chance of Vitor signing with the UFC again with another big win here to fight Anderson. I really hope they can work something out because they've been putting on nothing but amazing cards but there's alot of speculation that this could be their final show.

Bisquit ... TY for the conversion Indeed ... It's a bet ... I'll take the today rate your 20 quid vs my 33 US (which may be worth 15 or 10 P by then) HeHeHe

Vitor has no chance ... Not at 185 not at 205 Maybe if they jumped to heavy weight and Silva was given a Minimum Weight of 220 and wasn't allowed to train for a month before the fight ...

Would I bet against Anderson if this fight were to take place? Absolutely not. It's very likely that Anderson would walk away with the judges' nod and the W. But to say Vitor has no chance at all is absolutely rediculous.

Vitor's fast and accurate hands may be the only ones to shadow Anderson's and he also has brutal power to go along with it that can put anybody to sleep very quickly. And ever since Couture joined his side as a training partner and coach his mental state seems to have improved drastically. When Vitor is focused he is extremely dangerous to anyone and he seems to be more focused now than ever in his career. Vitor has / had scary potential. He truly had the potential and natural ability to be a great champion but he couldn't keep his head on straight and he pissed away what he could have been.

Middleweight is where Vitor should be fighting and he's shown it with two brutal knockouts in his last two fights at 185. It's still too early to tell how good he's gonna be at middleweight (knocking out Terry Martin doesn't mean a whole lot, but his knockout of Lindland was as severe as they come and against a very tough competitor) but if he puts on a similar performace against Santiago and he continues to apply himself and train hard than there's no denying that he is someone to be feared at middleweight and a threat to anyone.

Like I said, if I were betting my life on it, I wouldn't think twice about picking Anderson. He's been nothing short of amazing for the past five years and I think that over that time he's proven that he is pound for pound the best MMA fighter out there right now. St. Pierre is close behind, as well as Fedor, but I personally think Anderson is number one today and I'm a big fan (he'd be next on my list of favourite middleweights if I added one more). He's shown that he can consistently beat the best in the world and that he is one of the greatest champions of the sport, but saying he'd just walk through Vitor as easily as you claim isn't even an intelligent thought.

It appears so ... as long as I'm just covering 1 or 2 bets I'm good ... well ... I'm not going to Lose so I guess I could cover all bets HeHeHe J/K Bisping has some skillz and has the same chance as anyone else in the Octagon ... IMHO If he comes with what he did against Hamill (I question him celebrating that "win" as much as he did) Danny's gonna eat him alive ...

I'm really just playing Devils Advocate here ... When Vitor wins it is usually Huge (like the gash on Eastmans head) but you never know which Vitor will show up ... will it be the one who smoked Wand??? Or the Vitor who got Guillotined by a Kick Boxer (Overeem) ... I'd love to see the Phenom back in true form ...

You've got it spot on - it's like he can be two completely different guys / fighters. When he comes prepared and in the right state of mind he's scary and very hard to beat but there's the other Vitor that comes unmotivated and unprepared and then he fails miserably considering his potential.

I'm really hoping that his drop to middleweight, his two big wins in his first two fights at 185, and his new training schedule and focus will keep him motivated to be the best fighter he can be and he'll continue his run at 185 against Jorge and hopefully into the UFC. Unfortunately I'm not willing to bet on him just yet and I'll be picking Santiago to win at 'Trilogy.'

Bisping's win over Hamill was one of the biggest and most obvious robberies in the last couple of years. Horrible decision.

However I think he's upped his game since then and he'll be able to do enough to win atleast two rounds and the judges decision in this fight. Henderson's right hand is a fearsome tool and nobody is safe when that thing is flying, and his wrestling is amongst the best in MMA, but I'm not sure how seriously he is taking Bisping.

Winning this fight potentially gets him a rematch with Anderson, which it's clear he wants that pretty bad, but I still get the impression he's taking Bisping a little lightly. On the other hand, this is a massive opportunity for Bisping and he has a lot less to lose so he's gonna come fully motivated and fully prepared and give it all he's got.

MMA is full of upsets and surprises and I'm thinkin' this might be one of 'em. It's gonna be a great fight no matter how it plays out.

I'm picking Henderson. He held belts in two weight classes and two organizations. His game and experience is well above Bispings IMO. Name a top ranked fighter that Bisping has beaten. Top ranked at time of win please. Henderson summed up Bisping pretty well at the end of the show. "Douche Bag".

Bisping has gotten in Dans head a little bit and that Never happens ... but they've had more time "together" than opponents usually do (during the Coaching of the TUF show) ... It'll be an interesting test for the both of them ...

?????

He had two belts in two weight classes simultaneously in Pride but he never had two belts in two organizations.

You're absolutely right about Hendo having more experience and Bisping not having beat a ranked opponent in his career though, but those factors still don't solidify the outcome of this bout or any other fight. More often than not those factors can and do, but the opposite happens frequently as well.

It's happens time and time again, the guy who's never fought an experienced, ranked opponent fights a seasoned veteran at the top of the rankings and wins. It just happened a couple of weaks ago in a matter of 22 seconds when Brett Rogers knocked out Arlovski. Does Serra -vs- St. Pierre ring a bell? Gonzaga -vs- Filipovic? Forrest Griffin -vs- Shogun? Lesnar -vs- Couture?

All guys who had never beat, or sometimes even fought, a ranked opponent, then when given the chance to fight a guy in one of the top 3 positions, they won decisively. I could give you so many examples of guys who had never fought ranked competition and then shocked the MMA community by winning a huge fight that they never should have had a chance in.

It doesn't mean the upset is likely to happen all the time, it just goes to show that the factors you mentioned arn't always enough to win the fight. MMA is evolving very quickly and there's so many variables in the sport that make it very unpredictable (but it's still alot of fun to try!!)

Was looking for the x-rays of Faber-Brown fight....Faber broke 2 bones in his hand and lost the light but didn't give up..it went to a decision with Brown winning.

Gotta admit..Fighting with one hand is hard.

I have also broke my hand just like that but just the last bone instead of two..Just like it!! (flashback!)...Don't hit guys in the forehead! but at least the dude walked away after I hit him..Decided it wasn't worth it to keep fighting..(he started it too!)

What really hurt was the shots they give into the hand to numb it up...Wasn't a straight injection but they move that needle all around the hand for about 45seconds..Ouch!!

Thanks alot for the picture man!

Urijah showed alot of heart in that fight and due to the broken bones I'm sure he'll get another shot when he heals up.

You are correct NateDizz, I just considered his win of the UFC 17 middleweight tournament as holding the title at that weight.
