Nice, brotha....I know you're a good fella.

I'm just breakin' balls a little as should be routine for any sort of pledge work. Peace.

I agree that some of the acting by the brother and sister, were not great, but Clint needed authenticity, not Lindsy Lohan, although she might have been a good fit for the slut grand daughter.

Great Movie

also shows that we are never too old to be important or to old to be incapable of making a difference

The beautiful irony of the tale is that the hot ride goes to the gook instead of the precious snowflake granddaughter.

Guess that grandaughter should have hung around long enough to break into grandpas good side... THe neighbor who he hated racially pulled it off, seems like it would have been a little easier for a hated family member to get on his good side than the neighbor girl.

I liked the end where all his family was there as the will was beenin read and they didn't get shit........the neighbors he hated/that he found a soft spot for got this good stuff and he gave the house to the church........I knew that grandaughter wasn't gonna get his shit lol

Part of the point of Gran Torino was his age!
My point about his age is Clint is losing it in the acting department. A friend I used to work with said it was the best movie he's seen in the last 10 years and after watching it I was like what the hell was he thinking?

This role was well acted by Clint imho. There's nothing in this film I would dare say qualifies as "losing it in the acting department". Maybe your friend paid more attention to the character and subtle storyline involved, than you apparently did.

I know what they are saying... To be a hollywood tough guy you have to be under 40.

I thought it was a great movie.... i totally didn't see that ending coming though, blew my my mind.

I seen it coming. The special haircut, the new tailored suit (first time for both), Locking the kid in the basement..

i figured he didn't plan on winning and would die, but i didn't think he'd take them all out in that style.. Totally unprepared for that.

He played a cranky old man pretty good if you ask me. His acting wasn't suffering in my opinion.

i stack fucks like u 5 feet high in Vietnam and used you as sand bags hahah great movie

if your a movie buff....and I am am NOT, I hate sitting down watching TV.....but I took several lessons from that movie....sometimes the calizhar makes me look to deeply at movies..LOL, but I took the lesson that racism is burnt into people and they act racist without getting to know the person, if you get to know the person you just might get to like them..gooks or not. It only takes 1 moment to change a racist to a non-racist. In this case, when toad unloads the groceries for that old woman, clint realized that maybe the little pussy gook isnt as bad as he thought. Kind of tries to push everyone to give people a chance before you go hating on them.

another point I seen was how you treat your elders in the family....maybe I am looking into it to much...BUT, again the calizhar and widow might be the culprite here...LOL....but to many times we treat our grandparents, or parents like they are increpid, to old to use a phone or to old to grab a can out of the cabinet. we almost treat them like kids. Cue the neighbors, they treated Walt like a man 1st, they never belittled him...again, maybe i was looking to far into those topics but it will change the way I treat my parents.

Overall great movie and I amnot one to like movies. I am a Clint fan, from Hang em High to Pink Caddy, to unforgiving, to this.....do yourself a favor and watch it with open eyes.

I've been watching Clint Eastwood movies since '60. When he dies; part of me will die, too
....(unless, I go first?)

That's the spirit!

Saw the movie about a week ago. Liked the idea/concept and Eastwoods acting. Didn't like the supporting cast.

"Damn, that old hag hates my ass" - cracked me up soooo much.... had to rewind it a few times lol..
