Hey guys... I have a secret jardin thats 39 inch x 39 inch x 6 ft high.... im getting a light soon and am thinking of an s and P 100x to cool the hood... any input as far as fans in tents go?

thanks yall

this is the revised exhaust setup after taking about 180* of bends out of the ducting. you might also notice a small fan attached at to the hood for cooling the 1kw light. with this new ducting, the temps are at least 10* cooler than before.

hey vagpuncher, nice looking tent you got there. im running the same one. your gonna grow some monsters in there with the 1k. im doing my first run so im learning something new everyday. from the looks of your pics, the only thing i would change is hanging the filter/fan from the roof. that will get you your floor space back. i had my filter hanging along with the light no prob, but i took it down since stealth isnt much of a issue for me. feel free to stop bye my grow and check it out. and happy gardening :joint:

Hey Bandon Looper!

Thanks dude. Im only going to grow 9 plants so the airfiulter is no problem. I dont really need all the space.

Im gonna check out your grow right NOW!

nice, Vag! i'm suggesting that you somehow move your filter to the top of the tent somehow. it's a heavy filter, but the configuration will make more sense. heat rises, so by having your filter up there, you'll be able to evacuate it easier and create a better draw of air into the tent. where it's at now, you'll just be pulling air from outside since the vent is so close to the filter - in addition to robbing your girls of more growing space.

Hey Bro, I was looking to do a similar setup in a tent like yours with 9 plants, Are those 9 plants hydro or soil?

How comfortable is the space in that size of tent? I was thinking about getting the DR150 for 9plants in an RDWC setup with a 1000watt with the same fan.. Any comments or concerns with your setup?

The tent is ALMOST done. I just have to tape the doors and vents im not using. Just incase any light leaks through the pinholes cause by the stitiching

The A/C is keeping this thing cool as I want it. I can turn it up all the way and have the tent at 65 degrees. I keep it at around 75-80. Also, I took the advice of some posters and hung the filter up in the top back of the tent.

The Octopus!

I just transplanted 8 plants. They hate me right now. Not happy with the move at all. You can see the other 2 in blue cups in the foliage.

Any if you're wondering if thats a bed beside the tent, the answer is yes. My grow is in my bedroom.

VagPuncher: that is a nice setup you have there. I have a few questions..
That one ducting you have coming out the tent. Is this how you have it setup.. carbon filter > inline fan > cooltube > then dumps the air outside through the Y splitter? Is it just one inline fan you have setup thats pulling through the filter and pushing through the cooltube? do you have the inline fan on always or just when the lights is on? The other two ducts that is coming from the ac is cooling the tent.. how is that setup? is it on timer or does it turn on when the tent gets at a certain temp?

Hey Cao!

You have it right. Filter > 6" S&P Powervent Fan > Cooltube > Outside.

Just one fan. I have it turned on at around 75% or is sucks so hard that it cause major negative pressure on the tent.

The Fan is on 24/7.

The A/C have 2 4" tube running from it in to the tent. Because im vegging itson 24 hours a day. As soon as I flower I will have it come on 5 min before the lights and turn off 5 minutes after.

I agree. i'd check your grow diary. love the simple (minus the octopus, WTF? ha) set up. one question... does that feel comfortable holding the weight of the filter? I wouldnt trust my homebox with the much weight.. plus the reflector. maybe i need a Jardin.

Hi. The Filter it 31 pounds. The SJ says it can hold 70.

If you look closely you can see that I used twist ties to attach all 4 poles together. I figured that would relieve some of the stress from the 1 pole the filter hangs from.
