Hairless, by that logic a 10kg gold brick is also worthless, as you can't spend it a macdonalds either, and a man with an oil well is only worth the change in his pocket. A bearer bond is worth exactly the value printed on it. Their value is that they can be transported easily and swapped without any paper trail being left behind.

“They’re clearly fakes,” Stephen Meyerhardt, a spokesman for the U.S. Bureau of the Public Debt in Washington, said yesterday. “That’s beyond the fact that the face value is far beyond what’s out there.”

Far beyond whats out there? Excuse me but hardy har har. When the printing presses run 24/7 into the trillions and the N.Y. Banks (some call it Fed.Res.) is making interest on money that doesnt exist. (Money is Debt= I.O.U.) I call shenannigans.

Is it at all possible that maybe, just maybe, confidence in the dollar is not what it used to be? Gee , If they keep printing money and diluting the money supply by 25%.... Wont that make my $100 worth only $75? In essence, stealing $25 dollars in private property? How long do you want to hold on to treasurys? 75%? 70%? 65%?

Americas been mugged by Wall St. and The Fed. And we stupid bastards are just happy we got to keep the money we hid in our shoe.

Trouble is China got screwed too. And they know it. This aint real good for the U.S. I think we have a very large Florshiem planted firmly on a dangling appendage and the pain is gonna be unbelieveable.

Japan's dumping and we are trying to hide the run on the bank. Admitted conjecture but would you go to Antwerp to sell a fake diamond the size of your head, or would you limit the size to say a bunch maybe 10 carats or so to be believeable? Have those Japanese become suddenly retarded overnight and said "Ive got a great idea...they'll never notice theyre fake"

As lil Pookie used to say, " I smell someone with poopy pants"

Careful, dude. You're not allowed to suggest there might be something to this. K+

Hairless, yes you can print up your own bearer bonds.
And a bar can print up its own beer bonds.
A sheep farmer could print up his own sheep bonds if he wanted to.

Basically what that would mean is our second largest creditor has lost faith in the US ability to pay its debt.

i thought the people in the u.s. were the collateral. lol j/k. thats some effed up shit though. probably the people-who-actually-run-shit's people got caught. just like that plane going to iraq that had all that u.s. cash in it just disappearing.

I mean when you think about it, you can forge documents anywhere in the world. Why make them in Italy then risk smuggling them out of the country when you can just bring the forgers over and have them make it in your home.

Because Italy's got some damn nice equipment.

Ever seen a nice book printed in Italy. Some of the finest printing and paper you'll ever see.

Didn't Tom Hanks in "Catch me if you can" go to italy to do his forgeries because Italy had one of only a couple of a certain printing machine that could reproduce what he was printing.

It's like how NorCal is just a prime place to grow weed, Italy is a prime place to forge things because of their great paper, ink, presses and knowledgeable people who know how to use those presses.

Oh, and that whole border to Switzerland thing. lol

Sounds like you are trying to make a point without researching your facts. Using a movie as your source is suspect at best.

Paper, ink, presses and people can be easily brought over to other country's. When you are talking about billions of dollars you can be sure these bastards are major players with deep pockets.

Now admitting that these documents are real would mean that you have to explain to the entire nation how someone was able to steal it and also shine some light on your incompetence. Heads would have to roll without a doubt, it would be easier to quietly sweep this under the rug and punish those involved behind closed doors.

Now im not saying I have the answer but it seems like someone was not getting enough of a kickback to keep quiet.

Again, this is just my opinion, what the hell do I know.

LOL I know sparkjumper i sound like a conspiracy nut. But theres ALOT of truth to what i'm saying. Do a google video search for zeitgeist movie if you don't believe me, the US gov't is up to ALOT more than you could EVER imagine. Sickening really. I.E: The Federal Reserve is about as Federal as Federal Express. It is privately owned by banks and bankers. So when you pay your federal income tax it, the gov't doesn't see a CENT. It ends up in these peoples pockets. Infact there isn't a SINLGE law in the books that says you MUST pay Federal income tax. Why? No one would pay it if they knew where it was really going. It's all in that documentary and described by former IRS employess who quit when they found out that info. None of them have filed their federal income taxes since. Some over 10yrs now!

Hey watch the movie for yourself then man. It really must be watched by anyone interested in politics. The IRS agents clearly say there is no law written IN the books which states this because the federal reserve is privately owned. Perhaps if you watch it you have a better understanding instead of merely laughing it off as a farce without watching the footage and THEN voicing your opinion. It's @ 1:14:00 or so into the movie if you care to enlighten yourself as to where alot of this economic crisis among other issues is comming from.

Freedom, Frosty is speaking the truth, i suggest watching "freedom to fascism", this was done by Aaron Russo and it will open your eyes my brother. There was a group that offered 50K to anyone that could show the law that states you must pay income tax on your personal labor, No one has collected yet. Business and state tax is a different animal.

LOL tinfoil, that's a good one.

:moon:

If that's all you can say about the issue, then your opinion means nothing.

So many people hear about these things, realize some of the possible implications, get a laugh out of David Icke, and then anything related to the very real corruption of the Fed falls into the realm of "conspiracy theory".

Edit: Even the side taken by the Treasury Department on this issue is a "conspiracy theory". Counterfeiting fractions of entire economies would be a very large conspiracy. So by comparison, how is suggesting that someone's actually dumping the dollar any less sane? (This last part wasn't necessarily directed at you, Freedom.)
