I regard leaves yellowing and falling off as a natural process in a healthy plant. I think the rate of leaves yellowing and falling off is the thing to look for. Are the leaves yellowing and falling off just here and there, or getting kinda "serious"? Are they mostly at the bottom of the canopy, or the top, or evenly distributed throughout the plant?

I'd only worry if I had more than one or two leaves at the top yellowing and falling off. Nice, slow, gradual yellowing in the undergrowth is natural - lack of light regularly causes leaves in the lower, shaded areas to yellow and fall off IME.

Otherwise I'd check through the mundane stuff; if it's throughout my grow I look for something systemic like nutrient deficiencies or over-lighting or predators. If it's only a few plants, I look for root problems like rot (or they could be root-bound, I had two plants I couldn't figure out why they were the only ones yellowing, turned out they were root-bound because I was growing them in the wrong kind of pots).

And yes near harvest you'll see more yellowing, a lot more if you follow the stone age practice of flushing ;) .

how many days left until harvest?
are you flushing yet?

plants nearing the harvest date will turn yellow cuz they are using up their food stores in the leaves.

My oldest plant is 44 days into flowering it is a g13 labs purple lady. Yellowing is here & there but mainly in the lower branches, a few are like almost halfway up the plant. I also have a satori 30 days into flowering but the problem is less than the purple lady only a few lower leaves here and there. Same goes for my super silver haze from greenhouse which is also 30 days into flowering.

No I'm still approximately about halfway to harvest on these three, a little longer maybe. I also have a few more plants which have less time flowering (few weeks only). I don't plan on flushing. This being my first successful run thus far I decided to lay off the nutes. The only time I used nutes was on my super silver haze & hawaiian snow. They were devoloping what seemed to be a nitrogen deficiency and seemed root bound so I used nitrogen for a few weeks then at approximately 35 days transplanted both into 2 gal. pots. Other than this no nutes were used on any of them, just plain water.

Could be lack of nitrogen is stored from vegging since they were only fed once. Yellowing at the end of flowering (last week or two) is normal but should not start early in flower.

What to do? Give them a bloom food that has a low nitrogen content. This will not only fix your problem, but also seriously increase your yield

My little problem started a few days ago, maybe a week and it is more of an issue (though it is not looking serious) in my purple lady. After reading your responses, this seems to be normal since it is approximately 3 weeks until harvest. I think your suggestion might help GrassMaster. Any recommended formulas by name or where I can get them ? Thanks. Blaze one for the cause, cause I'm about to.:smoker:
