yeh man i leave my water out for 24hr, start with A, then B , then pk13/14, then 7 drop of PH down, this drops my ph to 5.8/.6.0...

as for you salt build up,,with good brand name coco (eg canna, bcuzz, biobizz ect ect) you should not have this problem,,shit coco i would flush b4 use,..

iff you can get your hands on canna then i would go for that,,use your Bio Nova nutes all youll be rockin...
make sure to check your ph after youve mixed your nutes. you should be aming for a ph range 5.8/ 6.1. get this all sorted and you should have a hassel free grow. (if everything else is sorted, lights, fans, ect ect)

ps. i see you were asking when to feed..with coco start feeding as soon as you see the first true set of ganja leafes,, start of half strength (infact start of slightly less than half strength) and work your way up to half then full,,
follow the schedule on the Bio Nova site and you will be fine bro...

get swatting up on hear (ICMAG) reading is good ...well when its about weed lol

10ltr pot already :yoinks::wink:..
you want to start of in a small pot, eg half ltr and work your way up to the pot you wanting to finish with... another good thing about coco, you can grow quite big plants in small pots,,,i myself use only 1 ltr pots with coco and hand waterd.

shes only a week old bro so iff your carfull you should be able to get her out of that 10ltr pot, get most of the shit coco off (carefull with the roots) then put her into a small pot with some lovely fresh coco,,once she has a good roots system filled upgrade to a larger pot,,,,,,

ps...dont give up iff you make a tit of it bro, we all make mistakes,,just germ a few more beans,,stay safe

After doing some research on Autoflowering Dwarfs (which is what im growing) its best to pot straight into the final pot as they cant handle being transplanted very well. Iv read this on alot of forums but someone please correct me if im wrong.

And i wont be giving up. Im just a bit dissapointed as Autoflowering beans are quite expensive. Not gonna get myself down about it tho. Spose i should of used sum bag seeds for my first grow. We all learn from our mistakes

yeh its right to put your auto plant into its final pot streight away,,BUT she does not need a 10 ltr pot,i think any auto plant would struggle to full a 10ltr pot with roots= wasted coco ,5lt would of been more than anuff:joint: you could have even got away with a 1 ltr pot ,,am telling ya bro coco is the nutts you dont need massive pots:yes::joint:.....

have a look spy at this sticky bro,,this is 1 of the best coco threads hear. alot of usefull info (just consentrate <<<<spelling on what your useing COCO, if you start wandering into other sections you will just get bombarded this to much info lol) take it easy bro

wait till you break a good root mass apart... i use to grow in a peat based soil-less mix it was okay. later i found some coco. i tossed a bag seed into it a 1 liter soda bottle cut at the top of the label. i never changed the pot in the life of the plant. i also knew very little about coco at the time and didn't realize that some nutes don't work out well. two weeks into flower tips of the roots were starting to peek out drainage holes in the bottom. at week 3 of flower i could not see coco through the green plastic. it was green plastic with a white background. i had to pry the roots/coco out with a screwdriver. i ended with 22g of super dense nugs out of that soda bottle. you don't need a lot of space for coco. recently i have been following the guidelines more closely and it has only been getting better.
i am not trying to disrupt this thread, just giving you a taste of my first experience.
keep the work up and soon you will have some wonderful smoke that others will do anything to get there hands on.

I'm new around here but from your initial post I noticed that you used a coca / soil mix. What you are seeing accumulated at the top of the container is probably perlite. When I had used perlite in a mix that was transplanted into a coco only pot, the small white perlite bits all floated to the top during heavy watering. I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

Its apearing on the clay pebbles in the mix aswell. I put a tiny bit in my mouth and im prety sure its salt. Ill taste another bit when its dried out some more. Oh and shes still in the coco/soil mix. Havnt transplanted to pure coco yet.

Will also try get a picture up soon.

Peace

pinch some of that white stuff in your fingers. if it feels kinda like crunchy Styrofoam that practicably turns to dust it's most likely perlite. i have seen some salinity test strips at pet shops. if you are that worried, you could always test some runoff and compare it to the plant water. if you have been flushing the seedling a lot, it could slow the growth some. if the levels were too far off the chart you wouldn't have a seedling. i wouldn't flush too much or make too many changes at once, it could make matters worse. remember those are delicate baby roots.

I think you could be rite. Not sure exactly what it is tho. Iv noticed that if i let the mix dry out slightly the plant has a wee growth spurt. Iv stopped flushing it as much aswell. The annoying part of my mix is im not exactly sure whats in it apart from coco, soil, and clay pellets. I know theres more but i cant remember what the guy at shop said to me about it. I got it a long time ago. Got Bcuzz coco and some clay pelets yesturday. Going to drop another bean in the Bcuzz and see what does better. Ill be feeding both the exact same way i think just for an experiment. Im learning more everyday.

i haven't played around with many mixes. to me it seems that cutting the coco with anything is a waste of money. don't go changing your grow cause i'm not a coco/mix fan. the coco/mix may suit your needs better. if you find a little strait coco when you have extra: time, money, and space. give it a try, you might like it. make sure you don't feed too much too early. it's an easy mistake to make.
