FULL FLAVOR STRAIN GUIDE

Title says it all... There are tons of different strains and hybrids rolling around the globe, and tons of flavors to go with them. I like strong weed as much as the next pot head, but I am all about the flavor!! FULL FLAVOR TO THE LAST TOKE.

So, if it's possible, maybe we could get a list started here with strains that are very unique or even just exceptionally consistent in their flavor.

NOT ODOR - FLAVOR.

There are a lot of good quality, stinky buds that do not have the flavor that their smell gives.

Some examples of strains that I would say qualify are strains like -

  • C99 - Pure awesome pineapple/grapefruit
  • OG Kush - Pinesol lemon fuel
  • Durban Poison - Black licorice/anise
  • Bubblegum - Bubblegum
  • Herijuana - Coffee
  • Skunk #1 - Skunky ;)
A list like this might prove useful to some extent, right?

If you can put the flavor into words, let's see it!

If we can get enough entries on this thread, I'll take the time to organize and maintain it until maybe we can get a sticky on it or something.

I just grew out some Pinequeen x Jillybean that had the most wonderful fruit cocktail flavor. it was like taking a bite of small chunks of apple, pear, peach and cherries all in that syrup they come in when you buy it canned or what have you. i really enjoyed it

as far as i know the word strain has no official status in botany...

imo...A "strain" is a designated group of offspring that have descended from a comon ancestor.....

Blueberry?

I'll attest to the pineapple c99. Really amazing flavor! Personal fave.

Also, I should say this -

If you're in agreement as to the flavor that someone else describes about a certain strain, mention it, and that will help to confirm that the flavor is recorded accurately. :smoke:

Everyone has their own nutrient setup, so slight alterations in elements available to a certain strain could allow it to make different flavors, even if the phenotypes are consistent. Some strains, however, always seem to maintain their distinct flavor regardless of the nutrient regimen (to some extent anyway).

Does anyone know if there is blueberry that actually tastes like blueberries?

I have only ever had blueberry that was knock-you-on-your-ass-eyes-bugging herb, but the taste was minimal, and definitely didn't taste like blueberries.

??

I've got two f3 Blueberrys that both taste of blueberry, though both are quite different too - one has an almost 'gloss-paint' overtone, whilst the other has a more perfumed, floral spectrum. To complicate matters, both phenos also have an orange/tangerine side-tint.

Trying to categorise/describe smells and flavours is becoming something of an obsession with me, partly down to the difficulty of communicating this kind of tactile/sensory info via text media - if there were a 'plug-in' method of communicating the smell directly, I would, believe me. Why hasn't anyone invented the smellphone yet...? :)
