hi forgive me very new to the grow aspect just got the book by Mel Thomas and am excited to start!!! i would like to grow indoors i have a 4ftw by 2ftd by 9fth closet want to use cfl's although don't know correct ones to use soil of course as organic as possible would like to make it 2 chambers mini s o g i know i will need fan ,ducting,timers? thermometers,something to test humidity? idk how big pots maybe venting to the attic central heat butts up to the closet so i could get to fresh air at the place where the a/c gets it .......fuck i dont know anything but you guys do i would like to do it right the first time for a change oh btw i cant type worth shit flame me scold me do what you like but teach me here goes nothing thanks i know im leaving shit out

First off welcome to ICMAG. This place it great and it is loaded with information. One thing you should learn right off is how to use the search button. There is hardly anything you can't find. Then read till you can't read no more. Then read some more. People here are more then willing to help out but I think that if you bass yourself with some general knowledge and study up on things they are more incline to help out.

Asil could not have said it better. These foums help those who help themselves.......I've been reading for years and years, still learn something eveytime i log on, made some friends along the way too.
best general advice i can give is keep it simple until you get a feel for things, and plan out your grow, dont let the hydro store suck your wallet dry. this hobby can be as complex or simple as you desire. thr more you know the simpler and more cost effective it will become

Welcome there could be much to be said about where your growing. First, walmart... or your local equal big box you'll find all the timers, small cfls, and FIRE ALARMs(be safe or don't bother) you'll need to atleast get started... as for cfls use ones with a high k rating or your vegging area... and a lower/ mixed k rating in the flower area looking for much more light there... perhaps someone can recommend a place to find large cfls i use a hid in my flowering area.... as for ventilation if the room the closet in is kept in the 70s or 80s use the whats sounds like suction side of your homes blower to pull air out... but ull have to scub it or your house will smell awesome!.... ill be back with more advice later!
