Uber Stealth Bubbleponics CFL White Rhino

Very cool insight guys! I love checking my thread and some gnarly ass guys like you post something in here, really makes my day!!! ~Vince

Plants 1 and 4 are looking better but still behind 2 and 3 (silver numbers on netpots) hope they don't get stressing in to males. ~Vince

very nice! I have a fridge that has been looking for a scrubber, and I think this might be a start before a DIY..

Hey Cella,

If you check through Red_Greenery's original rubbermaid thread, he modded one of these for his clone/drying box. Basically, he took an exacto knife and cut a slit in the filter to empty out the very small amount of carbon that was in there and then filled it up with regular activated carbon that he used for his big filter. Then he taped in back up with duct-tape, and it's off to the races.

I picked up one for myself with the intention of doing the exact same thing. You have to watch tho, as I think the earlier versions had the filter type that had carbon in it already, I think now they are marketing them with just one of those black carbon pre-filter pads, and you have to buy the "Tobacco Odor" filters that are packed with carbon. I found them discountinued at Target marked down from 10.49 to 7bux.

I was thinking if you have some of that black carbon pre-filter pad you could just cut out 2 pieces and sandwich them together, glue almost all the way around the perimeter and just leave enough room to shake out the old stuff and refill. GL with the DIY!

hey guys nice dresser ya got there..what are the temps inside of it while its runnin.....

also how does the front of the dresser stay Put

Hello guys/girls, Sorry I have been away but I was waiting for them to get a little older.
The temps in the cabinet are 82 degrees during the day and 75 degrees during the night are the temps.
The drawer has the side drawer pieces still connected to the face of the drawer, just no bottom of the drawer or back piece of the drawer.
The plants are 15 days from germination. So in another 13 days they will be 4weeks old from germination (true plant age).
That's when I'm going to top them so if they have 5 nodes I'm going to cut at a 45 degree angle at the 2nd from the top node right below the 2 leafs growing out and then cut those 2 leafs off and stick in Rockwool (no rooting gel). Its a less chance of the clone rooting but I have a ace in my pocket!
My friend that is growing fully organic and grows for a medical cannabis bank and he never uses rooting agents on clones so he can stay true to organics. I have pics from last night and ill post them in a few mins. ~Vince

So here's our (hopefully) girls. These are pics taken late last night so day 14, I'm adding nutes today these little plants have gotten al the nutrition they can get from the seed and now they are just converting all the energy they get from the lights to photosynthesis so they're HUNGRY.
This one had an issue popping out of Rockwool so shes smaller.

No issues from her sprouting.

No issues either from her sprouting

This girl's hypocotyl (the loop you first see when plant pokes out of grow medium)was showing but her plumule (first 2 round leafs of new plant) never emerged so I had to operate to get her to pop out.

Hi everyone, The plants are 16 days old from germination, so last night I added nutes to the res and 2 gallons of reverse osmosis H2O to make a total of 6 gals and 6 tsp of nutes the directions on the nutes says to add 2to 3 tsp per gallon.
I'm letting them ease into the nutes so there's no nute lock out issue.
BTW this is the same ratio that I did with my last grow. ~Vince

High Vince,

1st time listener, 1st time caller... to be quite frank, I'm a soil grower about to go dwc and I'm a bit nervous about the transition... a couple of questions and then a hopeful word if I may...

1.how often are you adding nutes?... and

2.how often are you checking pH and ppm?

... and finally, with 4 weeks of veg... I see an overgrown cabinet in your future.... How horrid to be stuck with too much weed... :badday:

Well, first off mines not a DWC its a little more complex because of the feeding tubes and the water level is not touching the net pots, its a bubble ponics system.
Ok got that out of the way. I add my nutes once during veg cycle (5 weeks last grow) this time its going to be a little longer because I'm going to top (2nd node from bottom) the plants and use the topped parts for clones.
The reason I'm topping at the 2nd node is because I'm going for 4 main colas but we all know that topping is not an exact science so if my (hopefully girls) plants give me just 2 I'll be just as proud of them!
I'm going to change the res out and add Bloom nutes and fresh Reverse Osmosis H2O.
As for PH that is checked daily its kept at around 6.0. I'm 1 of those crazy perfectionists. I don't have a PPM meter so I must never be overzealous, which I thankfully for my plants am not.
This is a pic right before harvest.

She was touching the top but not crushing her cola. I hope this helps you out on your new DWC exploration!! GREAT LUCK to you Foothillsfarmer!!! ~Vince

wow thats a nice bud off of cfl's.. good job on the box me likey

LORD Thanks for the comment I was very surprised myself well mainly because that was my first grow with Hydro and Cannabis!
Thanks again~Vince

Day 19
So here we are with the plants as of 15 mins ago when pics where taken. I'm starting to feel bad about topping them since they look like they are developing so well.
I'm just not sure I can muster myself to cut them all not to even mention this is going to be my first ever topping, and I am seriously doubting myself at this point!
So if anyone has anything to add about topping I would love to here.

bro, you grab the top and snip it off. thats all.....

actually i recommend the "FIM" to you....if you can slice off the top node with all the developing new nodes inside at just the right angle you can trick the plant big time by developing 2-4-6-8? main colas

look it up before you goto top these.....youll be very interested

So if I waited for them to grow to their 5th node and cut it down to the 2nd node, how far behind development would one plant be from the uncut plant next to it? ~Mia

Quick question;

How will you be able to untangle the roots from any males in the crop once you're far enough into flower to be able to tell? Or are you running 12/12 from seedling and just hoping they don't get big enough to have that problem? Also, what is the liquid capacity for your res with plants in?

Well they don't root but like 2 inches out of the net pots, so no tangles are an issue well at least last grow.
The plants are on 24/0 I'm not running them 12/12 from seed.
The res is 6 gallons and is 6" deep in the 12 inch high container. ~Vince

Day 27
Here's the hopefully girls on the way to making us Chinese eyes. I cut the little new leafs at a 45degree angle on the 19th at 1:45am and took these pics today at 2:00am, so its been 2 days exactly. two days ago I added a duel fan exhaust system, each fan is rated to move 31.65 cubic feet of air per minute.
Then today I added instead of just a hole in the bottom of the system for air to be sucked into the cabinet, I just put in a intake fan, it is rated to move 34 feet per minute.
I cant wait to see how the new 2 main stems turn out on each plant except for plant 1 she wasn't tall enough so she is going all natural.
