yeah the whole ecstacy thing was a huge failing on the part of tptb to protect their citizens. in the late 80's amid the tabloid hype about 'killer drug ecstacy' everyone was so intent on demonising the drug that they didnt work out that the kids were dying of dehydration. all they needed to do was nip the hysteria in the bud and advise partygoers to drink water - it took them months to work that out...

nice skarks breath Verdantgreen, what was the smoke like?.

thanks LLP. My mate gave me the cut - he had grown out a 10 pack and this was the best pheno. His wife is jamaican and he goes over there a couple times a year. he was quite excited when this pheno 'did the jamaican thing' as he described it - he was talking about the foxtailing i guess. I smoked some of a top at his and it was awesome - really took the roof off - very uplifting and intense. i tapped him for a couple of little buds and they turned out to be quite stoney (the GWS influence i guess).
so i think he let the foxtailed tops mature before he chopped and by then the lower buds were a bit over-ripe. (the plant went into a late second phase of growth with the foxtails)

mine is at 9 weeks today which is the flowering time in the strain description and i took a sample bud. looks like it could go another week to me but i dont want it to get too couchy so i will see. very nice plant though, hoping it will be a keeper. lovely soft lemoney smell.

here it is - a square foot of my modular scrog 250hps 60 days

thanks Lond - i think ill chop her soon, had a little tickle last night and it was a nice strong up high. 250hps are great if you can keep all the buds between 6" and a foot from the light - so the modular scrog screens do the trick nicely - 4 plants like that are plenty to last me a while - im hoping for at least 1g/watt.
the only pity is that the plants get pulled about so much you dont see their natural shape, but a nice regular canopy of buds come harvest makes up for that!

stay safe,
V.

Yeah I know what u mean...My more Technical partner in a lot of my work is obsessed with little cupboard grows and getting the most out of small spaces at the mo'....He moans about the plants not looking diff enough when treated this way,but he was growing big plants in pots for ages as well and they always show their colours properly when a bit maturerand un-hassled...He's got a 600,400 and 250w cupboard going regularly all with different processor controlled watering systems as well.He does one Bigish scrog plant in the 600w space,2 staggered scrog plants in the 400w which is split heights and tanks etc and a Baby sog in the 250w. He messes about with led's and cfl and cmh etc in various one offs and test grows. He's web shy unfortunately tho' but I'll try and get some pics of his spaces out of him as hes been softening recently.I'd love him to show people wot he does but its just not his cup of tea all this online Canna bizniz...Keep dem Gal's Frosty....JBo ;]

that'd be great to see Lond - tbh it took me a year or so of lurking before i got round to talking about it on the web - kind of goes against that grain but its very good to have people to compare notes with. if we ever make progress on legalization / decrim then the web i'msure will play a pivotal role in that.

when i've found my keepers and not testing as many plants as pos. i'd like to try a single mahoosive pot in there - i bought a 65 litre one the other day in readyness for that. as a keen regular gardener i know what a huge difference pot size makes to plant size ;)

quick question to all the cheese experts - how much of the screen would you fill before you flipped it to 12/12?

Definately agree! This UK scene has extended it's embrace to me with advice, genetics and love, and I feel privileged to be part of the UNITED Kingdom of growers. Maximum respect to everyone out there working to keep things green in our otherwise beleagured little nation..
