OK, well, I think it went something like this.

The turtle would get an idea in his head that he wanted to be somebody else or have some other profession. He would go to the wizard and the wizard would grant him his wish and send him off with a warning to be careful. Each time, the turtle would get into some type of trouble, and would yell,
"Help Me Mr. Wizard"

Then somehow, the wizard would hear him or see him in a crystal ball and he would say some magic words, and rescue the turtle from his precarious predicament. Then he would lecture him to always be himself.

I don't remember what the name of the show was called though.

Now...there was also a science experiment show called Mr. Wizard.

Yes, I remember, but it was in black and white for me. Time for this one to come home, was the line I think.

I having been looking forever for this cartoon and nobody has ever even heard of it when I ask. This truly is an old fart forum!

The modern version of this cartoon is "the Fairly Odd Parents" a Funny show with lots of inside jokes for the grown ups.

But I can not find Mr.Wizard or Fractured Fairy Tales anywhere.

Can anyone post a link to a torrent for either of these.

Neo in the Matrix makes the "Help me Mr.Wizard !" plea but I would bet Keanu Reeves has never seen the cartoon.

Who Remembers "Lidsville" a Sid and Marty Kroft production?

Back when an Ounce was a LID! lol

Wasn't Mr Wiz just a small bit series, rather than a full on production...?
Just little episodes pushed into a regular cartoon series, or something like that?
Like a commercial of sorts during a regular Underdog show or somesuch?

Btw...on a side note...I absolutely hate these modern film and song makers trying to remake old classics. Underdog was ruined by a group of ignorant writers who never saw the cartoon.
The Wild Wild West movie (ok, I like will smith ok.,..but folks this racial shit has GOT to stop...and make no mistake, casting a black man as James West was a racially motivated thing)...what a phucking ruination of one of the best shows ever made!
ANd if they are going to remake a song...don't do it unless you can pull off the lead licks too...don't just do part of the song and change the lead licks. Sure kids of today won't know the difference, but we who knew the original songs know you are busch leaguing the damn song cause you apparently can't hang.

Yeah, what he said!
What happened to creativity and originality? With few exceptions, remakes, do-overs, reunions and sequels fall well short of the original.:yeahthats
I have known many Tutor Turtles in my life. Knew enough to get in but not enough to get out..."Help me Mr Wizzzzzaaarrrd!"

The thing about H & J I found so cool as a kid is that they were aware they were in a cartoon. "dont worry, it'll be fine in the next scene. This is a cartoon, we can do anything".

Agree! "Give us a House to Wreck,We'll Tear It To Pieces By Heck" Man I loved that show. And Deputy Dawg with Vincent Van Gopher and Muskie.
