Are you fully purging all of the butane out of it? This is rule number one for hard see through oil made from butane.

Easiest way to turn that into hash with little work is to get a kif tumbler and just dry sift that shit. turn it on, throw in the trim and let the motor do all the work just turning it.

Good luck with what ever you go with. :joint:

Lets get real kief sucks compared to nice bho. Only a novice would argue against this. I own a tumbler and will repeat that if anyone likes kief more then BHO you are a straight noob.

QFT, i forgot to reply. also dont forget that you can kief the trim and still run and it will not affect yield that much. and if you have 30 bows of trim its worth the time, if you decided to sell 1/4 -1/2 the hourly rate for you work would still be damn good. and if you kept it all you would have enough bho to smoke for a long long time.

so even if was never gonna get trim in my life again, id still buy what i needed and run all of it. roughly depending on trim quality you get about 10% so you would end up with around 3 lbs of oil... will it take you a few days to a week depending on how much hours a day you can do it... ya... is it worth it FUCK YEA

PS
even if you dont know how to make bho ( DONT WASTE THE TRIM MAKING ISO ITS HORSESHIT) make bubble. youll still end up with a shit ton of it.

My most important question is, is this a worthwhile effort for commercial purposes?

He asked for commercial purposes. obviously BHO, QWISO, or Using Bubble bags will produce a much higher quality product. if it was for personal use i wouldnt suggest a kif tumbler but hes going to sell it so who cares. its easy and not nearly as much work. With the amount of trim hes going to have he would need ALOT of ISO or Butane to make oil and IMO not worth it if hes just going to sell it. :2cents:

well made BHO and dry sift are both good....it definitely doesn't get any stronger than BHO but well made dry sift tastes nicer and has a clearer, cleaner high in my opinion. It's far more relaxing to make, easier to handle and is un-melted by petro-chemicals.....etc etc.

and if you are not happy with the results from your tumbler, maybe try a different technique?after the initial tumble try cleaning out all the plant material in the tumbler then re-sifting the powder, stopping when there's mostly plant matter left in the tumbler, then repeat...this will help improve purity

another way is to do a short duration run with small amounts of the plant material with quality in mind, then later do a longer duration tumble, a quantity run to strip all the remaining resin heads..this second run can be cleaned up on finer screens or BHO it

to get to the next level of purity, use two finer flat screen meshes. Work the the re-tumbled powder over a flat screen frame with a mesh openings that are larger than the resin heads, then again over a mesh with openings that are smaller than the resin heads, to help remove most of the non-active plant matter.

That's a pretty silly statement. I prefer BHO, but I don't agree with you at all. tumbler sift and nicely hand-sifted heads are two completely different products. properly sifted kif is right on par with bho, though I'll still take my honey please.

I appreciate all the replies. I am going to try the bubble bag method with bags and the bubble machine from bubbleman.

It is kind of a last minute decision so alot of the trim was going to be thrown away. It has been sitting in garbage bags for a week. Will it still be useable if its kind of moldy/nasty?? Should I put the trim out on our drying screens to dry out?

I would honestly get the 5 gal bubbleman bags and run each big batch by hand.

So many tricomes would be lost to a washing machine.

That Bubble Now machine from Bubbleman is pretty cool, albeit cheaply made.
The quality of my hash went up using the machine vs hand mixing.
I love not having to sit there mixing.
Fill it up, set the timer, come back and watch the cash flow out...

Thats great. Thats the plan, start making hash while doing our final cleaning of the rest of the building.

any idea how much ice I will need? I have trimmings from almost 30# of plants.

Hey eminem,

once you discover bubble hash, you wont ever throw your trims again !

the washing machine and bubble bags are the way to go with big amount !

I would pick it up and toss it in the dumpster. Convenient that it's in garbage bags.

Next time, lay it all out to dry so it gets nice and crispy before putting it in garbage bags.

Yeah I agree...
I was sad to hear that - bubblehash is such a nice smoke. Even if it isn't fmcd or whatever it's still pretty damn good.
I wouldn't try making hash on compost though...

We are gearing up for a full run here in a couple days. Almost done trimming. All trimming have been put on a screen to dry and keep from getting nasty. Dont have a freezer big enough to freeze it. We did get a commercial ice maker so ice wont be an issue. :D

Few questions

Got the 8 bag 20 gallon set from bubbleman. Can we skip some of the bags? I know the first one is supposed to catch all the garabge so I would run that. But it seems like it takes a long time for all the bags to drain, and pulling 8 bags out, then putting them back in over and over, is a PITA. I wouldnt mind just using 3.

Is it possible to keep running stuff in the machine and not scraping the bags? Again pulling the bags over and over is a PITA. Can we do 6-10 runs, then scrape the bags?

Dirt. I assume if dirt gets in, it will be caught in the first filter. I mean dirt from when we sweep clippings off the floor kind of dirt.

Moldy buds. We have some moldy buds. Not alot, maybe a couple dry ounces worth. I have read that the mold spores are so small, they will just go through all the filters, and wash away leaving mold free hash. True? Should I do anything to prep the buds?

I'm down to 2 bags.
I use a 220 or 160 bag as a shit catcher, then the 25 bag to get all the good stuff in one without separating multiple bags.
Quality is killer and people love it.
