I was hoping to get a sign on 2 of the most vigrous to keep for mothers before i put them under the HPS on 12/12..

right . right. i have never cloned before but full on will do so this go round.



not sure if they are quite old enough yet to take a good cutting. i might put them below to get a little bit more stretch. possibly to encourage more branch growth.

Good ideal but watch the streching ,I see you have a lower light if it has more output
i would move them there .

Ok here are some updated pics . i can see a little bit if change on a few. I am pretty sure plant 2 is fem but still kinda hard to tell on others. I moved them inthttp://www.icmag.com/ic/picture.php?albumid=5539&pictureid=92337 o a 35 gal aerotub that is working great. moved all my larger CFL's into the flower cab w it vs turning the HPS on them inn hopes to stretch them a bit. still on 18/6. please take a peek and let me know what you think.

good luck with pre flowers .IMO your seeing what will be branches .T ake a couple clones and go from there .other than that its a 50/50 shot

my mistake male and female have the ? ,theres a name for what your taking pics of .They give no clue to the sex untill 12/12

Agreed #2 is female. The rest are still a little to early to tell. Although 6 looks like it is male in the second photo. Hang in there, should be a few days more at best.

Better safe than sorry!

And to be ontopic, since I don't see clear signs of male/female preflowers/flowers there... I'd say it's too early.

ok so i moved plant number 2 into the mother compartment. gets a lil hot in there but working on that. on the others which i just flipped to 12/12, how long should i wait before i pull any male suspects. will the male preflowers cluster up if they are in fact male? and if they do cluster up , how late it too late when it comes to preventing pollination? I'm sure you catch my drift of where i am getting at. more pics will load up later.
