GHS Lemon Skunk in FFOF burnin up

Hello everyone, this is my first real attempt at growing. Im using a Lifeless style rubbermaid design. Sorry there are no pictures as of now but ill do my best to describe whats wrong with the youngins.

Ive got 4 that are a day older than the other 2, 1 is a sickly looking runt and the other 3 are starting to turn yellow at the tips. Today they started to droop as well and one has twisting leaf tips. The older ones are just starting to show their second pair of leaves, which are light green.

Im worried that its a pH problem but my other guess is the soil's too hot. My question is, could i leave the seedlings in the FFOF and if they'll recover or just burn up and die?
Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

How long has this problem been going on? 2-3 days
What STRAIN are you growing? GHS Lemon Skunk
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) seed
What is the age of your plants? 10 days
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? started seeds in Fox Farm Ocean Forrest
How Tall are the plants? 3-4 inches
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? seedling
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) 1 gallon
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?) all FFOF
What Nutrient's are you using? none yet, have fox farm grow big and big bloom available
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? unknown unfortunatly
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?
How often are you watering? everyday
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?
What size bulb are you using? 2 42 watt cfls
What is the distance to the canopy? 2-3 inches
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity) 45-50%
What is the canopy temperature? 77-81 degrees F
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) ^
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) not sure
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ? 4 in. computer fan exhaust 2-2 in. passive intake on 24 hours
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? above plants blowing directly on lights
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? moist
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled?Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? started with tap last watering with RO
Are you using water from a water softener? no
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? no
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? no
Are plant's infected with pest's? no

Would keep using Ro water as the ocean forest is possibly to hot for your babys.

PH of OF should be alright.

not much can be done now but next time - ex. 30% OF - 30% peat - 30% EWC - 10% perlite would be a better & safer mix.

thanks for the quick reply man. i kinda got a little anxious and figured just the OF would do fine. So you think i should just roll with it and see what happens? im out of ideas at this point.

I see on the form you say you water everyday in 1 gallon pots you have probably already killed them.

Next time start off in dixie cups or something similar in size with good drainage ocean forest will not burn your seedlings at least in the five years i have used it and do not water everyday get moisture meter use that and check the weight of the cups heavy don't water if they are light and the meter reads almost in the red water that should take 5 to 7 days after sprout

I have been there done that so don't worry about it learn your lesson and on to the next grow

I've grown 2 different phenotypes of LS and both were low feeders, they doesn't seem to like too much N, tends to get a lot of ram horn leaves but doesn't affect that much it's growing or flowering. Pretty resistant to PH imbalance thou

Thanks for all the advice, though they look shittay they're fighting through it. I flushed em the other night and they're definitely looking better.

I've seen tons of burnt seedlings here with OF.

That's why they make "seed starting mix". or Light Warrior, as FF puts it.

they may or may not fry but I would transplant them asap.

If you have leaf twist you have incorrect PH. Tap water is usually in the high 7s to 8 and higher and much too high for mj growing. 6.3 is what you want to put in and to get out as runoff, ideally, but a range from 6 - 6.7, if held consistently or shifted gradually over time. Plants don't like sudden ph swings.

The RO is most likely closer to ideal, but you need a pen or at list test strips to get an idea of what's going on.
