Lookin good buddy. Have you been measuring the pH of your nute mix at all?
I had a very similar situation with my Headband plants last round. Turned out that over time the nutes had built up in my soil and was locking out some essential nutes. After giving them a few flushes it cleared right up!

yeah i had this too tank cf was way up! I'm NFT btw. I suppose you could run some ph'd water through them and measure then cf of the run off still if you where worried it might be high.

I've been on top of that, I got into a routine with it all really. What I must confess to not doing for a while is checking runoff pH.

Got a few pics to share with you guys.

Cheese Buds Day 32 12/12

In some pics, you can see some browning of pistils, despite it only being day 32 12/12. Should I be worried? I've read that it could be simply the buds have been knocked (I've tried to be careful), or a sign of other stress, or could mean the buds have been pollinated :yoinks:

The browning can be seen on a more widespread scale on the bud below..

Here's a quick shot of the other Cheese cutting I started out with, currently on day 55 12/12 in my buddy's PC grow. It smells immense.. and only 23W CFL for the whole of flowering..

Here are some Pre 98 Bubba x OG Kush SFV seedlings, topped a couple of days ago..

The one on the right is a little freak, which I'm almost out of patience with. Second right is weird too, topped itself really early on. I'm hoping at least one of these is going to produce some beautiful authentic-ish OG Kush..

Thanks guys, and the people dropping me rep too..

Tripod Good:yes:

Awesome shots man, sharp and sweet. Appreciating your efforts dude

Thanks man, can't wait for more buddage so I can try my hand at some frost shots :joint: These were still a compromise, I didn't turn the timer on, so out of 8 or so macros these were the only three I wanted to post in full! Must try harder still..

Hopefully the little buggers keep their foliage long enough to finish :yoinks: It's still dropping off, I'm about to give them a 2/3-3/4 stregth dose of GH though (normally get 1/3-1/2 strength).

lookin good Snap. I'll have to keep an eye out over here if you don't mind?

Sweet man, always good to have you around! More going into flower imminently too..

that cheese looks sooooo f**kin frosty man, sweet!

She's a seriously frosty girl, still over a week to go on it too. :canabis:

Gave the Cheese girls a big feed last night, and it's the first time I've got a different aroma from them.. gone is the subtle, musky smell that's present through veg, replaced by something a bit different, though still not the trademark Cheese funk yet..

Barely at all dude, she just carried on vegging at the same rate for another 10-12 days probably, maybe an ever so slight boost in growth rate.

What I did in this time was release all the "shackles", to give each branch as much chance as it wanted to get near the lamp. In hindsight a fair bit of my training was misdirected, but that was a learning experience for me, you will no doubt fare better. I would definately give it a healthy veg to get the most from it though.

Snap, how do you think you misdirected their training?

My goal was to train them like vines around, and across, the entire surface area of the pot, then let the branches grow skywards, so I had 25cm x 25cm of colas per plant. I started by laying down the main stem, then I trained them gradually, did a bit of pruning, taking off some dominant branches a few times. Some of what I did resulted in wasted veg time, some of it was pointless but at the time seemed right. I guess it was a learning experience.

What I've ended up doing now, however, is letting a lot of what I trained horizontally grow skywards, as it became clear I was going to need another 3-4 weeks of veg to achieve what I wanted.. I basically got impatient..

The result, my bushes don't occupy anywhere near as much area as they could do, so I've got less bud sites overall than I could've.

In hindsight what I think I should've done is top the clones really early on, maybe more than once, so I could've been LSTing in four directions at once. Would've filled the pot a lot quicker than what I did, and I would probably be further into a potentially bigger yielding grow by now!

I see. How many weeks in did you start training them?
If you don't mind, I think I have an old pic in my gallery that shows some of how I used to train them right from the get go, but I have to find it.. :joint:

Any input is great dude, the whole reason I'm here is to sponge up knowledge from people like you.

I started training them about a week after I got the clones, here is one of the first LST pics I've got of one of them..

Clone on arrival

Clone after 8 or so days

My problem was by the time I got the fucker working it's way around the pot, some of the side branches started getting tall, so I lopped them off, because I wanted a field of even colas. Just became clear that was going to take forever..

no thats fine, Snap..thats a perfect start! Keep wrapping her around the container, and you'll end up with a square stem with all colas inside and around the edges.
You have to have patience as it takes time and this is def. borderline bonsai growing, but once she flowers, you'll get exactly what yer looking for..:joint:

Those side branches that you are lopping off, I hope are going right into the cloner..

I felt like I went about things the right way early on, I just lost patience I guess, and started doubting my methodology. The full progression..

I've ended up with maybe 1/2 to 3/4 pot sized bushes I guess. Appreciate your advice CD. Some of those side branches did indeed make cloning!

Cheers matey.

Today has been quite eventful. The micro-PC grow Cheese has, unfortunately, had to return to pappa. My buddy did his best, but ultimately the smell became too much for whatever micro-scrubber efforts he could rig up. It was a choice of chop early, or finish under the HPS.. there's no way this baby was coming down early..

Exodus Cheese Day 56 12/12 - moving it from 23W CFL > HPS today!

Can't wait to see if a couple weeks under the HPS fattens her up a bit. Will take it to 70 if I have to. He's already started flushing two days ago, so will continue to do so, try and get rid of some of those nasty GH nutes..
