What's new

What do you think about this Sun Circle light mover on ebay?

sounds fishy. The guy admits it is used, and the price SOUNds okay at first, 200 bucks woo! but lets examine.

200 bucks buy it now + 15 shipping. that piping will costa pretty penny.
he says 15$ per 4 feet, it may well be more and he may be making it sound less expensive (i dont know about this but could be).

since you want three lights, youll probably need a minimum of 4 feet per light away from the source. thats 4 ft @15$ x 3 = 45 bucks (not counting shipping which will be a biatch and a half with ALL that metal piping! i'd guess 100+ bucks on shipping for the piping alone ( icould be wrong.. CHECK out the webpage he linked for the metal piping and enter your area code to see!)

who knows by the time you get all that piping and the three lights and its month down the road you figure out it doesnt work.. then what? it's long too far away to return for money.

do the research and find out, maybe its free shipping on that metal pipe then it might be worth it!

Thanks for the input SativaDreams.
I priced the arms on the metals depot website, it's $50 including shipping for 3- 4 foot lengths of aluminum square tubing.
I googled and found that these setups go for $420 plus shipping! I'm thinking I'll wait for the end and see if I can get it for the $150.
I've seen one of these in use before and they are too cool. I want to put it in my greenhouse so I can garden year round and maybe to finish some long flowering sativas.

It goes 180 degrees and returns. I'll bet you could use thinwall EMT elec. conduit say 3/4" or 1" would bolt right up to the rotor at about $1.00- $1.50 a foot. A good electrical supply house would even put the sexy offset bends in for free if they werent busy. All it takes is a couple of minutes with a $25.00 pipe bender. Round ,square...who cares as long as it hold up the lights. Another co. uses round pipe.

Not a bad deal at all for $150.00-$200.00.

Sativa,
Better slow down buddy ...lol. ;) Youre only talking about 3 pieces of 4' x 1" tube. a 3" x 4' mailing tube would do it. You could ship the plumbing in your whole house for a $100.00. (no cast iron).

I want what you smokin bro ....lol

It would be interesting to try to make something like this, I wouldn't know where to begin though. :joint:

Do you guys think three 600 watt lights is overkill for a 6 bucket rdwc setup? I want to grow trees!
