What's new

I was just given two plants in bad shape... HELP

I received two plants today in pretty bad shape... the guy growing them said that he ran out of nutrients so I'm sure that is all they need...

But I have some other questions.

Should I flush and add RO water with my GH MaxiBloom Nutes?

OR

Should I transplant into bigger pots and then feed?

OR

What I really want to do is transplant into my hydro and start flowering... (is that insane... will they make it through the transplant?)

Here is the deal, I have a Lowryder Mixpack (10seeds) coming tommorow... I know they will work and yield in 60 days....

I want the QUICKEST way to Bud... then it's on to quality.

Should I mess with these two plants... I only have one light and If I put into flower I will have to start my Lowryders on the same light cycle...

Not knowing what type of plants these are and how long it will take to flower....

What, in your opinion would be the fastest way to some Buds?

Run my Lowryder seeds AND these at same time?

Flower these plants and THEN run my seeds....

would it be best to run my lowryders in the DWC and just keep these in soil right next to the tub under the light?

I have 400wMH.... and I don't really want to go get a HPS conversion bulb right now....

I guess I could just throw these on the deck and see what happens... LOL.

Found out that the plants are two months old, and have been on 24/0 light cycle....
Some sun, some flourescent... Should I keep 24/0 with my 400w MH?

You have a good friend as those plants look pretty decent: If I were you, I would transplant both plants into 5 gallon bucks with lots of perlite and of course some soil. Then tie the top over, over the next week keep slowly bending it. DONT BEND TO HARD TO FAST, I just broke a deisel ass top straight off my hydro plants, thick ass hollow stem. Anyway, since they are nice side with lots of shoots after that first week of LST. Add some nutrients at 1/2 strength, and put a screen over each and proceed to scrog. (Looping and dying the tops in and out of the screen). Up the nutrients the next week maybe to 3/4 strength. And if they can take more a week later, increase slightly. In about a month you will have 2 big ass plants and you will only have invested a month into. Then flower them. Should get a good yeild.

plants look ok... give them more soil and small doses of ferts for a couple of weeks, then they'll be ready to flower. Good luck!

Thanks so much.

I think that I will just transplant to 4 gallon....

with foxfarm and perlite....

I'm going to just leave them in front of my DWC and start flowering
in a couple of weeks.

My goal is for fast buds.... NOW.

Next, I'm going for quality.

When I go into 12/12 for flower.... do you think I can VEG my Lowryder seedlings in the same cycle? or should I wait to Flower this bad boy for a month when the lowryders start?

Thanks again.

And yes, my friend is awesome for hooking me up, they weren't free... but $5 is damn close.

Honestly, let them veg a little more in the 4 gal pots... They are obviously root bound, so they will need a week or 2 to expand to the new pot. In that time you could have your lowryders on the same cycle flowering. Then you will harvest them and then a few weeks later harvest a big harvest from these 2. I say lettem veg at least 3 weeks. It will improve your yield 10fold.

there fine id get them healthier before cloning though. Repot tip back specially the lanky one and feed a moderate veg rate Ec/ stable PH. In two weeks you have many cuts and health plants to flower.

when half the leaf goes yellow and curls like that its cuz of a virus good thing you done have any mothers

id flower them out and not have any mothers till they are done

if infact you do have tmv

Also make sure you are not welcoming any pests into your grow by bringing those plants in... I got 2 Superskunk clones from a "friend" once that just happened to have spidermites on them and they took over before I could notice.

Thanks SOOO much for the input.

I don't see any pests... however I will check really good today when I transplant to 4 gallon's.

I think I'm going to listen to Barf and wait to flower until my Lowryders are also ready.... However, initially I was going to run the WHOLE lowryder cycle at 24/0...

As far as cloning..... I'm totally over it. I think with these two, and the 4 lowryders in DWC I will be fine with enough personal smoke to last my second grow of some quality genetics.

I'm going to plant the seeds of my 4 Favorite Genes about 2 weeks before I harvest, so that i can start my second grow right away... Then I will clone...

I looked up TMV.... and it makes sense...

The guy I got the plants from smoked Cigs....

Anything I can do... the last thing I want to do is Ruin my other plants once they get going...

Tobacco Mosaic Virus does not come from people smoking, it is a virus that effects plants in the Solanaceae family, i.e. nightshades (tomato, pepper, mandrake, eggplant, etc.) If you have TMV (which you don't) you have to kill everything, period. But I agree with some of the above comments, those plants just look like nice older moms, put them in 5 gallons, lil veg. fert and put them under a nice big light for a few weeks and you will be stoked. Just my thoughts...

ya im not sure of it but still he could have it look at that leaf

i would contact greyskull hes a member here that has delt with tmv

and if you have it you dont need to kill it im pretty sure you can still smoke buds from it

juzt dont have any mothers around and clean everythign really well b4 you get some expencive genetics

seriously you have lowryder comming you aint going to make a mother from that and if your just folowering these two plants out i wouldnt worry about it

Yeah for sure...

My Plan was not to clone or mother until my second grow...

Mainly because I'm autoflowering to expedite the first one.

So.... I guess it just all works out.

I love this forum.... one month ago... My knowledge was strictly related to my experience with Smoking Cali Medicinal buds...

I knew Nothing About growing...

Now I have such a greater respect for all the beautiful Nugs I used to take for granted.

Transplanted into Foxfarm Organic Ocean Forest Potting Soil with some Extra perlite.

Once transplanted I fed them 1/2 strength of Maxigro and superthrive.

I then moved my dwc back a few inches so they could be under the 400w MH....

I can't wait to see how they react now that they are being so loved.

^^ yes I would have recommended a lighter dose of the maxigro and like maybe, even if a half drop per gallon of superthrive. FFOF has a very balanced nute supply for at least the first few weeks.

I'll go Straight RO water for a little while...

Thanks for the heads up of the FFOF and the Superthrive strength...
