lazy and unathletic losers is the one i hate . .told my girlfriend i smoked and she proceeded to tell me stoners are losers and lazy . .when she knows im a swimmer and i swim for 2.5 hours a day everyday a week . .i dont think thats lazy at all

i think the biggest myth is that stoners are lazy and unproductive. i mean yeah, sometimes we like to sit around watching TV and playing COD4 while high. however, i find that marijuana is usually the source of all my evil money making schemes lol. it has made me go out and make moves to make what i am today. aka the grow room, my car selling business. however sometimes i wonder if i never smoked weed, would i be some engineer or computer whiz? would i have graduated with a business degree instead of a lazy ass stoner history degree? but its probably more than just the weed, because i drink like a pirate at the same time too.

i cannot totaly disagree with some points about stoners, especially when i look at some of my friends who smoke. they hold down jobs and are good people, but according to the traditional american success standards, they are all failures. (no college degree, no steady jobs, no healthy relationships) just weed, petty job to make more money to buy weed, weed, beer, party, start it all over again the next day. my brother used to be an honors student in high school, but he has already dropped out of college by year 2 and is floating by at a community college now, he smokes ALOT of buds, way more than me. he pretty much blew his entire inheritance on weed which is pretty bad.

i am 23, so most of my generation is either graduated or not. at least 80% of my friends have not finished college yet, and only like 5% of those 80% are even still enrolled in any type of college. most of them didnt even try to attend college and all work blue collar or lower paying jobs now. even though in the car business, my friends who never graduated college can make a couple grand on a good day!

but stereotyping really bites.. just like ppl with mental illness get a stigma for being "crazy".. when in reality you could be in close contact with someone who has a mental illness and you'd never know... ...The gateway drug part is bullshit too, because to be honest I experimented with yay,XTC, shrooms, and other dumb shit way before marijuana became a habitual thing...that said, i dont care for any substances besides cannabis and mushrooms, for spiritual purpose, not to get "high" like meth,coke,etc...

Well I imagine SOME ppl can get addicted.. but it must be a rare rare thing. and the whole down feeling... yea thats why I started using amphetamines cause I was smokin the wrong stuff. Now I absolutely love smoking, and its not like a loss of control as you'd get with something like heroin

I agree with you there about the american success standard. When it came to college and higher education, i never had a problem learning the material, as i also maintained deans list while at University, but it says nothing about how i feel about society and what i want in life.

I cant stand BEING at school, or putting up with bullshit classes i have no interest in, to become something completley different. So the fact that all i wanna do is grow marijuana, and despise actual clock in-and-out work, says just that, i guess i have a problem with society.

here's the deal IMO. I can't deny that SOME people who smoke bud a lot are lazy, lame, and basically losers. BUT, they were going to end up living their life that way anyways. They just chose to smoke bud while they coast through life. Are there the same type of people who chose to drink a lot instead? Are there people who chose to abuse food and distract themselves with mindless TV instead? Yep! Do they get the same stigma as stoners? Nope. It's an imperfect world, but that's how it works IMO.

Its kind of like how Joe Rogan said it in the great dodumentary, the union. "People who smoke weed and lose their jobs were gonna lose their jobs ANYWAYS due to personality problems." I totally agree.

Sometimes weed makes me even lazier, but sometimes less. It all depends.
Smoking a pipeload and going to the gym however, gives me alot more energy.

I smoke everyday and high school was easy for me.


Weed just enhances who you are, wether you're dumb, smart, lazy or productive.
