Holy Crap Flora Nectar Smells Good!

I got some free samples of General Hydro's Flora Nectar and I can't stop smelling the stuff.
I haven't used it but I might just buy more so I can keep huffing it.
Yummy!
I want to get a whiff of their pineapple scented version.

OK, on a more serious usage note, this is the GH version of Botanicare's Sweet.
From what GH and Botanicare tell me, these products are not designed to make your "product" smell like what the label says, i.e., berry, citrus, or pineapple.
The scents are strictly for the user's nasal benefit.
They are designed as a sugar/carb boost for your plants.
I have used Sweet.
Anyone tried Flora Nectar yet?

Hey Dongle, yeah, the Nectar is the shit! I have used it many many runs and thought I would never not use it, but now I am trying Lucas formula for the first time...
I chimed in to one of your posts a while ago about the SSH, and I was planning a side by side comparison of Lucas vs my complicated custom chart I developed with 14 parts.
Well, I couldnt make myself do it, and am just running Lucas in both rez's cuz its so easy and nice, 4 weeks and no rez emptying and carrying over to the sink to rinse etc...running GDP also, plus a couple testers of OG and Lemon Kush.
I cant believe how easy Lucas is, currently doing it with Micro/Bloom since I had some left over. Loving it so far, cant believe how big and happy they are at 4 weeks with no other additives.
I thought I would use the Nectar maybe the last 2 or 3 weeks, but I didnt want to mess up the cleanliness of my rez, so still not sure.
So I used to use the Nectar from begining to end, including the last week or so as the flush @ 5ml/gallon during first feeding through second week of flower, then 10ml/gallon til 6th week, and 15ml/gallon rest of the way.
My pal at GH gave me the new pineapple one to try, pretty intense sweetness, but I love the regular flavor, and yeah, it does sure smell nice doesnt it.
I believe you are doing Flora Nova Bloom, right? I remember you have a crazy watering schedule of 3 or 4 times per day too, right? I only flood once daily, within the first couple hours of lights on with great results, using Botanicare CocoGro on one gallon bags @ 20 per 1000.

Does that pineapple smell soooo good as well?
I am now using Maxi Bloom (FloraNova in dry form, minus the humic acid) along with Floralicious Plus, which adds the humic/fulvic back.
This recipe is still the Lucas formula, but with some extra benefits.
Do you have a link to your GDP grow?
Have you noticed any difference with or without the Nectar?

The pineapple smell very strong and intense, sweet as can be, couldnt tell a difference on finished product between that and the stock Nectar, but I only tried ot with a Hindu Kush which smells like coffee no mater what. With the SSH it may be different, but as we know, that smell doesnt really carry in to the finished product rather than to feed the medium and add carbs, does seem to help with trich production. I have run it @ 20ml/gallon but thought it was too much, went rancid quick, so you could try that high app rate near the end with a half rez to flood the table for a few days then dilute and top off with pure H2O...
I really told myself to use the Nectar forever, but trying to do the lucas with nothing else, thats hard to do as I like to mix n add all kinds o shtuff the guys try to sell me promising increased this and that, ya know, so I am really enjoying the simplicity and the performance has impressed me more than I imagined.
I figure I am gonna add the Nectar to one rez for last 2 weeks and see if any noticeable diff..
I need to figure out how to do a link. My post count is low, but I am lurking here often, and gardening often trying to hone my skills...not sure if I can post pics yet?

I was thinking about adding some the last 2 weeks myself.
Maybe in the middle somewhere, too.
I'm not sure about your pic situation...

I will see if I can share some pics here right now. I thought you need a certain amount of posts before you can post pics. I will take some pics of the GDPs soon and start a thread. I had some funky shit happen to em early on so didnt want to embarass myself...
now talking with a pal I think I figured out what happened.
I used ThriveAlive B-1 during transplant(first time using it) and thought I was over watering cuz they just formed a ball, it was crazy, never seen anything like it. They finally came out of it and started growing up towards the light. Guess I shoulda documented it for others to see, but I was in survival mode you know.

I tend to stay away from sugar boosters, I prefer the natural odors. I could see a trial run, say specific flavors with strains that are prone to such a scent.

I used B'cuzz and it was far to altered for my liking, so I'm a little weary on sweeteners. It was a plant that was very creamy outdoors, so that was a real bummer running indoors with B'Cuzz.

Thanks, trying to figure out the easy way to put up pics...any tips? Do I have to upload in to my icmag album? Help, searching for tips...

I bought a bottle of this stuff earlier this year, I think it did add a noticeable sweetness to a bubble tub of NYCD I harvested. The smell of the nectar itself is almost like molasses; sweet, earthy, rich. I ran it starting 2 weeks into flower, but instructions say you can use it during veg also. I like it; I've never tried Botanicare Sweet or any of the other carbo products on the market, but I'd imagine they're all similar, and for the increase in taste and sweetness it was well worth the money....:joint:

hey guys whats up righthooks here...im running the nectar for first time with my banana kushes.....i think it works pretty good..havent tasted the buds yet though..will update when i do....
