gonna try and cross the GG2 with everything i can and make some seeds - it would be rude not to try a cheesexgg cross as well!

Sounds good guys. I've been watching the way these GG x DP F3's grow, they're so stable/uniform, considering making a few bedroom crosses with them during the winter for next years outdoor season.

I've paid more than a tenner, but never 50. Depends what it is really. OG Kush is an absolute bastard to clone compared with, say Appalachia, or Blue Satellite which will both just root in a glass of water in a week.

I paid for my Cheese cuts, but only £5 a pop, had other cuts offered for £7 and £10 in the past. Most someone has tried to ask so far is £20. Definately don't mind paying though, even for something supposedly freely distributed like the Cheese.. ultimately, some poor fella has had to put the effort in, take the risk of extra numbers, etc so I wouldn't begrude them something for it.

Completely off topic, but thanks also for the heads up on how long the OGK will take to root - got 8 seedlings a few days off being cloned & flowered, you might have helped me pick which way around to do things. Just hoping now I won't lose the clone of the one that turns out to be my keeper.

Oh, and that Cheese lookalike from seed on the last page is pretty uncanny, even down to the double serrated leaves! Quality shit.

LoL.. the only reason I got them for a fiver, rather than more, was because it was a close FOAF that they came from.. It's been passed on a few times since, mind you, and I didn't feel the need to charge anyone anything!!

Spending money on personal plant fibers from local cuttings ultimately generates unwanted revenue and income taxes that are spent on political refurbishments or dropping bombs on ppl!!!!

Blues/Livers was reportedly born not far from where I live, in sheffield. Getting sick of it tbh as most dealerweed is it, but really poorly grown/dried.

Where the heck do you guys get your clones from? mates? my mates are all non growers except the one who is a dealer only concerned with profit..

Nobody I know passing out clones around here, only dealers selling them at £50 a pop which I ain't paying for a cut that could be anything if it lived.. but then I don't know many percy growers around here.

It was always a dream of mine to get a group of people together and trade clones of our best so that every one of the group gets an ultimate selection of genetics, maybe someday eh? nice thread, gave me some good memories of buds gone by

edit: Killer skunk is gooood stuff. I still miss some of the old school smokes though

tbh the blues/livers isnt that good.. it's sticky and it stinks and the high is fairly pleasant and a little cerebral but doesn't last long. It's also very more-ish.. one of those buds you can smoke and smoke and smoke and smoke all night.. you do seem to hit a celing with it though, much lower than other buds. I'd like to smoke some that's been properly grown. DAMN i miss the properly cerebral buds of old.. i want to get that feeling again that my brain is bubbling out of the top of my head, stretched burny forehead...

I'd happily pay £5-10 for a rooted clone of something nice like OGK.. there's work gone into it, compost, magic cloning juices, people have had to get the stuff in the first place, extra risk etc.. i've got a store of tesco yoghurt pots kept for clone transport lol

If someone gifted me a good clone, i'd do what others have done - give them some of the first croppage off it, or buy them a nice little gift or something as a ta mate.. or gift them a clone of mine.. this is the sum of my philosophy in life. Be pleasant and fair with people, work together to defeat life's problems and for the good of everyone involved. Shun those who do not match my ideas on how to treat people.

Rick, i couldn't say about blues being better than cheese. The only cheese i've ever had was "cheese" from a dealer and it was typical poorly grown crap. I've had nice blues in the past though.. it's nice bud but something like a good white widow, grown well, is better imo.. ain't got the flavour but I prefer the high. Believe me, you will get sick of the blues eventually.

I'd like to grow cheese, it looks like it would do well in my grow, and i want to know what all the hype is about. There was a purple afghani with HUGE, foxtailed buds back in the first few pages of this thread i'd like to grow also.. in fact there's a few strains in this thread i want.. some of the nugshots have distinctive characteristics of buds i've had in the recent past that were nice despite the best efforts of the commercial growers to bugger up the stone.. or had in the late 90s when crap weed didn't really exist on this side of sheffield because nobody would buy it.

gah i'm learning now that the big seedbanks may not have what i want GovernBENT, get weed legal NOW so i can have 100 mother plants.

Well I've managed to smoke nearly 21 grams of the blues in six days, so although it's strong, it's not that strong. Though my tolerance is high, and I get a lot of tasters when I've chopped! And it's still a bit mongy for my tastes, but I've got nothing else but hash till the Oaxacan Gold's dry.

It's much, much tastier grown in soil/bat guano, that is for sure, and the smell is much more complex. My mate brought me some hydro blues to try the other day, which would normally be considered 'fine' by the purchasing hordes, but compared to mine it smelled like straw....

hey EM i use organic soil with guano and i agree it really brings out the taste/smell.
went camping at the weekend and my friends couldnt believe how strong the odour was.

soma swears by guano for the same reason.

i think hydro can easly make just as smelly/tasty weed,,,,,,,all you gota do is get all the exess nutes out,,,,,,get that sh1t yellow for when you crop,,,,,flush it hard an the taste will be puka,,,,use Carbs to speed up the end flush,,,make that sh1t turn yellow

im about to swap to organic mix containing guano, im using pure coco with canna a/b, it doesnt do my weeds taste any justice at all, in fact its been rather bland lately, even got some uk cheese it stinks but the flavor isnt as cheesey as others ive tasted, the flavour doesnt seem to transpire through when using coco an my bud jus all tasted similar regardless of strain. not to mention if they dont have a real proper good flush i end up with some kind of allergy symptoms from my own fuckin weed. great results from it otherwise.
