What's new

Help me pick a few strains... with...

After growing for a few years I am willing to spend a little bit of money to upgrade.

The room is pretty much done and I have a good background on growing.

I brought KC Brains when they had that problem with seeddirect.to and OG.com was the $hit!!

I tried Nirvana seeds, good and cheap... lost a few along the way but I still have a few keepers.... I got a good afgan and ice still!

I want to grow some new stuff! I will list the qualifications in a few!

with 500+ strains commercially available is hard to advice something. Are you more on the sativa or indica side?
Personally I would advice some O. Haze for the pure sativa (fuc*in trippy, it makes you fly), some kaly mist for mostly sativa ( nice up high, good to party with), some satori (nice up and it keeps you motivated) and some icecream (hybrids sativa-indica) and some blueberry or DC for the more indica strains.

peace

Yes, sorry for getting back so late... hard to get anonymous internet....

anyways... the strains I have in the room are about 55 days... So I guess 8 weeks because I want to grow them together.... I also have LOW ceilings... does that mean indica only? I have been growing indica dominant strains mostly... How are sativa in comparison? They are taller and take longer right? I guess I don't want that..

cheese is a great strain, mostly indica, but a nice up high, compared to other indicas. Big Buddha cheese takes 7-9 weeks, i perfer 9,

jack herer (karmas or sensi's) with a sweet subtle taste and really good high that keeps you chain rolling, something with chemdog in like mob boss by grindhouse, fruity juice by sensi is real tasty smoke, dr atomics shiva and atomic haze are strong but different, grapefruit x blueberry by chimera is imo the best blueberry cross, double dutch and warlock by magus are cool different tasting strains, ssh by mr nice is good all round.cheese is really good, but sadly its only ever on sale for like two weeks max.

i have all these at the mo and honestly say their my favourite selection, plus some others, but they really are some of the best strains going (imo)

Thanks guys!

Nice! I heard about Jack Herer and Cheese and always wanted something from chemdog.... While I was away I brought a 10 pack of A Train... however someone knocked over 6 of my seedlings and killed them all.. I am currently growing 4.. with my afgan from Nirvana....

Sorry for the short posts before people come lurking and I'm paranoid...

In order of importance

1. Quality (It will fuck you up)
2. Quantity (I want a lot to smoke)
3. Short (low ceilings)
4. Hardy (Won't die that easy or is that sensitive)

I want 3 green strains... and I definitely want to try a color strained most like purple but blue is cool!

all the strains i mentioned are quality over quantity, but still good yieldiers.they are some of the more hardy strains that reliably do well and all of them have unique tastes. their all short indica or indica dominant strains

ps non of them are very leafy, and compared to alot of other stuff, easy to trim.

Mandala's Satori fits the bill. Now that I have the MVTF (or Tange), I can say that Satori is almost identical. It can be very strong pot, and with a small price tag, you can afford to get a few packs to choose a keeper from.

One more trait... Sorry guys ...

I HATE TRIMMING... my afgan takes ages!! My Ice from Nirvana was so much better to trim saved HOURS! But I tried to reveg my Ice and it didn't make it =(

Love the strains.. keep them coming!! I am researching all mentioned....

Any cool color strains? Planning to get one colored (purple, blue, etc) and 3 green....

Much appreciated...

Sensi star, lemony fuel goodness. It is a leafy one but the smoke delivers. It's ready in 8 weeks ,better at 9 but I prefer 10 for that extra kick in the pants.

I'll second the sensi star, and there are phenos to be found that don't require so much time trimming... and if you want weed that will "fuck you up" this is it... and you never thought lemons and burning rubber could smell/taste that good...

i know what you mean, i have some afghan too, what a pain in the ass. The final product is worth it though in my opinion. As a matter of fact im packin a pipe of afghan right now, hopefully it will put me to sleep, it usually does. Such a distinct taste and smell, its just one of those strains you can identify from across the room ya know.

Awesome... see how come I can't buy stuff like this on the streets? And I wouldn't have thought to get any of these strains because I'm ignorant and didn't know of them... thanks...

This is simple.....Sensi Star from Paradise seeds......I ran 5 that were all very uniform and very indica.....all finished within 58 days of 12/12 and 1 finished in 45 days of 12/12......I nice plant covered in resin with great yields in 50 ish days that won't grow to tall

sensi star is really good but its definitely not the only good squat indica and ive found it to be relatively, a lot of trim work. there are so many flavours out there so in my opinion what you should get next is more down to what you have already grown . if you havnt grown anything with blueberry in then i would advise grapefruit x blueberry by chimera as its short but easy to grow and really fun. if you picked a couple of the strains i listed earlier you will be laughing
