Vertical Trees what strain?

I have 4 large grows (1st 6k, 2nd 8k, 3rd and 4th grows were 2 rooms one room 15k and the the other room 9k) under my belt all of which did very well using horizontal lighting although with high plant numbers. I've been growing an unknown mostly sativa strain gifted to me by a friend. I now want to do some vertical lighing using the Krusty layout (10 trees 14 lights) so that I can dramatically lower my plant count. I've been growing my current strain in 25 gallon soil containers and vegging them 4 weeks. I get some monsters this way but a lot of popcorn on the bottom not to mention this strain is nothing to brag about. I need a good strain that will give me some serious trich content but something that I can grow into big trees. I've been looking at Jack the Ripper, Flo, Jack Herer.

Any sugestions?

Hawaiian Snow.

And seriously, 38,000WATTS??? That's massive dude. Any pictures? :D

38k LOL! I wish. I think u misunderstood. I've done 4 big grows. My first grow was 6x1000w hps, my 2nd grow was at a different location using 8x1000w hps, my 3rd and 4th grows both consisted of 2 rooms at the same location one room was 9x1000w and the other room had 15x1000w hps. So all in all the most I've ran at one location was 24k. I only have 2 pics of the 15k room but I'm still trying to figure out how to post them safely. If anyone could help me with that it would be great.

If you want to safely post pics I recommend doing two things. 1) Make sure you DID NOT take those pics with a cell phone. Cell phone jpegs often contain GPS encoding which can reveal the location of the photo. 2) Go upload your photo from a public computer: library, university, cafe, etc.

Strain choice for vertical grow and trees: I know of two strains that are quite good for growing large trees (6 weeks + veg in buckets) they are Mango and Cherry Hemingway.

1 - Why not?? Cell phones work just fine as cameras... The image quality is a little less impressive but it works.

2 - Unless he has a high-end GPS phone or camera AND SETS THE DEVICE TO DO SO, it will not add ANY locational information to the image, what so ever.

The ONLY format that can stamp a photo with GPS locational DATA is the Exif format. The EXIF format has standard tags for location information. Currently, only very few cameras, such as the Ricoh 500SE, Nikon Coolpix P6000 or some higher-end mobile phones, have a built-in GPS receiver and store the location information in the Exif header when the picture is taken. But this is merely a "stamp" on the photo, not ENCODEDING...

JPEG files SOMETIMES can contain image metadata in a form of EXIF tags. These tags contain data about image title, creation date, camera shooting conditions such as aperture, shutter speed, focusing distance etc. Recently it has become popular to "geo-tag" images - tag image with latitude and longitude of the shooting location. This can be done either by post-processing or by digital cameras that have GPS device built it.

The only other way to add GPS data to a photo would be to manually use a photo manipulation application and add the data yourself. (Post-Processing) In both situations you will be able to CLEARLY see the locational information on the photo, similar to the date and time stamp...

I have a GPS phone. It's merely an option in the camera settings as another type of image stamp, just like date and time. It's not some secret hidden coding that police can use to track you down...Geez..Some people will believe ANYTHING...LMAO

yep sure was with a cell phone camera. Picture doesn't show much of the setup at all just the trees and some of the electrical panel WAY off in the back. I'll give it a shot and see if I can strip off that info.

Thanks for clarifying L-thirteen, unlike yourself I'm not intimately familiar with cell phones and prefer to spend my time doing other things with my life then learning the technical specifications of each and every cell phone. I was merely trying to issue a generalized warning to those who might not be aware of any issues regarding cell phone pictures. Moreove, I do not recall hitting the panic button with reference to "secret hidden coding that the police can use to track you down", but thanks nonetheless for the public belittling I'm sure it has done wonders for your sense of self-worth.

Thirtyshort - Another good option for growing trees is Bud lite, Burmese or Titanium available from VISC (Vancouver Island Seed Company) or Burmese. All three like to grow big.

My sincere apologies brotha. That wasn't my intentions. I was just trying to be informative.

No pun intended.

jack herer is a good choice but you will probably need a longer veg if you want trees (1month+)

mine went crazy once i put them in flowering and even in veg, despite the fact that i veg under flouros

Here is SYKs thread about Krusty buckets, but he list some things about vertical lighting and all in all its developing into a nice thread. Figured i would pass it on to you so you can have another place to get some answers : )

Good luck with the trees
