I think the way to go is 24/7 and MD in his " Sour Bubbleryder , a moment of truth ? " States the same thing.

I got the best results by far on my Blue Streak grows at 24/7 then any other.

Heres a snap-shot of one of the Sour Bubbleryder females, pictued earlier. Into full seeded bloom, and should be ready in about a week or so. This female is going to give me plenty of seed for the next gen crossing. Under 24/0 from the onset, these females are relishing all of the light. Im sure they would not have done this well with a lower light regiment (less wattage, less light). However Im very pleased with this cross and it is going well.

for true autoflowers 24/7 is the way to go imo. either that or sometimes i use 20/4 to save the bulb/costs.

I suppose the real question is "how much do you feel like paying on your electricity bill"?

24/0 is optimal. 20/4 or 18/6 is plenty, but 16/8 is about as short as you can go without losing out.

I did an big thread on this back on HB.net... damn so much info was lost when it went down.:wallbash:

I did multiple tests showing 20/4 lighting is the best to use for healthiest, highest yeilding, and most important most potent plants.:woohoo:

ICC.

I say run whatever you're comfortable with, I also like the 20/4 as it gives them a little dark period. I disagree with "losing it" at the 16/8 mark, i've seen people run them 12/12, they run outdoors with 12-14hours of light also. My outdoor AF's are currently getting 15 hours of light a day..

You get the point..

Any of the above will work fine, though.. peace

This is about autoflowering plants right? When I did some they were alongside normal plants and were 20/4 then 12/12 for the last two weeks, did fine decent yield etc.

I've never noticed much difference between 20/4 and 16/8, they both seem to do fine so I've stuck with 16/8 so the lights are off while I'm at work... I honestly think they aren't picky. As I recall lumenous would start with 24/0, then work his way down week by week until he hit 14/10 or something similar, and he always had great results.

20/4 for me I've been told by a reliable source that the plant uses the 4 hrs to build wood and strengthen inner waterways etc. Also I tried 24/0 was ok, don't get me wrong but on 20/4 the plants looked a bit stronger. However each to his own, Just letting you what I have noticed.

The good doctor himself recommends 20/4

I use 24/0. It has been my experience that anything else just slows them down.
