This is the least scary thing the U.S. government wants to do with babies. they wanna put these tiny nano chip capsules (that are now in all credit cards, and many products) inside all new born citizens. they emit a radio signal for about 5 foot radius. the signal contains all of your personal information. The signal readers are currently installed at most retail shops, because they wer originally created for product tracking. You can buy a reader on e-bay for 10 bucks already. credit card scammers buy them, and wave them near your pocket in the mall, and steal your personal info.
None of this is paranoia, its true. This is some 1984, big brother, scary shit.

lmao your dad sounds like my kind of people.
I live in a bad neihborhood but have good neihbors, break ins are common these days. I always fear someone will break in not knowing I grow. With my neihbors being good samaritans they will call the cops and report the break in. No search warrant needed.
I wouldn't mind it so much their taking DNA upon being charged if they had already taken samples of police, LEO, and all govt employees.

Cuz my DNA is mine! And I'm innocent until proven guilty, if they suspect me of a crime, they can test me then.
All I am willing to give them is a stool sample. I'll write "eat this" on the sample container!
I used to collect court ordered DNA labs on inmates. PIA.... as all of them say they are innocent. But DNA don't lie!

the structure of DNA was discovered by two guys, where did you hear that bit of information?

It is a well known fact that Francis Crick was on acid in those days though and easy to substantiate so use your google finger as it is true. Opened his mind he said to discover double helix. His partner James Watson and there was a lot of controversy in the end between them, but they did share the Nobel Peace Prize!

the reality is that if the govt wants your dna, they will get it. they could check any piece of your mail filtered through any mail service and get saliva from a sticky note you licked. they could have someone stalk you and get dead skin cells off the car door you touched. they could get dead skin cells of your house door handle when you sleep, or of a hair that fell off your head while walking somewhere.
reality is if the govt wants you for something they have you. live GPS (night vision included so day or night) they can follow you on a live-google-map looking gps and watch everything you do, they could pay people to follow you, pay people you work with to lie to you to get you to admit something, they could make your death look like a car accident, make your death look like a spontaneous explosion of your car/house, make a house fire of your house look like an accident

when they extract DNA from blood they are getting it from WBC's white blood cells which do have a nucleus.

He did say that he used it later in life, but not then.
Matt Ridley started the rumor is his book about Crick.
The Ridley story caught fire on the internet because it was an interesting (albeit false) tidbit, which explains its Google presence.
You have to have better Google chops for the real info.
Crick said he would sue Ridley if he printed such a lie, so Ridley waited until Crick was dead.
everybody (should) know(s) that Watson and Crick wouldn't have had shit without Rosalind Franklin....
and another negative of taking everyone's DNA is that it can be stored in a database where insurance companies can investigate a potential customer's possibility of genetic disorders, and deny them/amp up the prices for coverage EVEN if they are completely healthy. oh wait, that already happens...
