whats up guys, thanks for all the beautiful pics

i would really have prefered to put this post in the smoking and fishing thread, but i didnt catch any fish so it fits better in here :D

i didnt have the right bloody fly!! everyone else had the right bait and caught plenty of seatrout.

and sry for the poor quality on the pics, my objective is shite its not good for anything else then scenery shots atm.

what you are seeing is one of my seatrout spots in the lyngen alps in northern norway, 70 degrees north. they are about 2000m tall and are about 85-90% vertical many places. the pics dont do them justice by far.

there is alot of wildlife here, this morning on the way down to the river delta 3 elk were standing on a field. i could only catch 2 of them in the picture at the time. and this objective is really not suited for moving animals at all. im at max zoom here, not to worry as the elk are quite common here. im sure ill get a better shot this summer. it was all foggy aswell so you cant see the mountains in the background either as you can on the other pics i posted.

also, the some of the pictures were taken at midnight. you can see that it doesnt get dark at night here at 70 degrees north at all. we are officially having 24 hour day/sunlight from today and 2 months forward.

ill take more pics and show you guys the red midnight sun next fishing trip i take :D

have fun in the sun friends :D

Groady,

Nice pics of the Piebald deer. thats pretty rare to have a 50/50 mix on em, usually just little patches of white.

high again guys, its surely getting warmer and more animals are coming down from the mountain valleys..

here are some reindeer that came wandering along the seaside the other day, they are semi-domestic. free ranging animals which are beiing kept by tribal herders around here.

beautiful animals, and sturdy, the most well adapted hoof animal for arctic conditions.

.. and a school of coalfish in the fjord, you can see the seabirds in the background chasing after the schools.. makes for quite a spectacle. natures way of playing hide and seek.. but with high stakes :D
