not happy with the strains that i picked

well hell.
last year i ordered what i thought were some of the worlds top strains- kali mist, thai- tanic, white widow, sensi star -and i really dont like any of em.

the description for kali mist says that its a real "clear" high- well its clear all right, so clear that i didnt even feel high. wtf?

thai-tanic- same as above blaa.
sensi and ww- no big deal.

ok, here's what i want...
you know how some smoke makes your mind take off?
it increases your imagination, your thoughts are so vivid and deep?
you become more creative and you catch yourself even having a conversation with ...yourself?

now i have had some strains that have that effect-
FLO was awesome, very smooth calm high
haze did it but it was sooo heart racing/paranoia.

well thats what i'm looking for, so can ya'll recommend some strains for me?

What about smoking more to get the desired effect. Maybe your tolerance has risin since last harvest? just a thought. sorry for the dissapointment. Cheese is a good balanced high for me, not too stoney, and i too catch myself having completely irrelevent conversations with myself when stoned. lol good luck next time

I think more info is necessary to address the issue you're having. How did you grow them, how long did you let them flower, and what was your curing process? Any of these things could have created the problems you're talking about with potency.
Clearly, we don't know your skill level so more info might help diagnose the problem so you don't have it in the future.

I can see where your coming from. I have tried many many strains, and one that has stood out to be very very good for me is BOGS "Sour Bubble". This strain was so strong the first time I smoked it I almost fell asleep as I was talking to my wife. I really like Sour bubble. Another amazing strain that was absolutely top notch, is Sativa Dominant "Lionheart" from Almightyseeds. One other as well is a strain a friend grew and I was fortunate to try is L.U.I X Sensi Star, Wow! just incredible.

Did you use nutes right up until harvest? That can cause alot of problems with the finished product, maybe try to flush, there are even some products out there to help like "final flush" and "sweet", also, definitely don't use superthrive right up near the end either, talk about a fuckin headache!!

super silver haze is definitely a winner, I was impressed with that in the past, and now I am doing super lemon haze from greenhouse for my sativa and william's wonder from reservoir... I can't recommend them as I haven't flowered them yet, but I've never been disappointed with seeds from greenhouse (even though everyone talks shit about them,) and my powerhouse from grindhouse is fucking amazing... can't go wrong with them either.

I would think some Kali Mist phenos would be just that.

Interestingly, on my first couple orders of seeds I don't think I had great strains picked out.. Well I did at the time but none of them I'm really interested in growing again. Maybe it takes a while to get your strain list refined.

to be honest kali mist did nothin for me either, ive noticed this with a few sat dom strains

NYCD is the same-got a good pheno growin that does absolutly nothin to me but my friends love the shit

whereas i have a widow cut that kicks my face in everytime, and i smoke that shit from morn to night everyday.

can some1 explain this 1 to me though..

the best stone ive ever had has been from that supposdly thai that comes wrapped in cotton, and im not talkin once, it does it to me everytime.

this stuff aint taken care of, compressed and all sorts of shit-but not been able to talk after a night on that stuff.

i make my own bubble and bho from the widow/nycd/buddah cheese, and that shitty thai beats it everytime.

Yeah I think along the lines of some of the others;
Either you have very high tolerance or the ladies weren't grown well/long enough.
I personally think it's the latter.
