Nirvana AK48 @ 27 days

My first time running AK48 and so far I'm pleased.

Hell I might as well throw up the other girls I'm running while I'm at it.

This one is some bag seed from some bud that was supposed to be Sweet Tooth.

My last one here is a clone of another bag seed plant from another grow.

Its a 400 watt high pressure sodium in a cool tube so I think it'll be decent. The mother of that clone I pictured yielded me just under a quarter pound under the same light with no cool tube and it was almost 38°C in my room with the door open and well over if shut. Now the temp stays right around 26°C with the door shut and I'm expecting that to only help.

I'm very impressed with Nirvana at this point and would surely recommend them.

Thanks. Do you have a thread for your ak? If so please send me the link as I'd love to see it for comparison. My ak seeds are pretty old actually. 2004 or maybe even earlier. I can't quite remember. But I wanted to see if there was much or any difference between them assuming that your seeds are from a newer batch.

hey, nice grow on the AK. I popped a few of those beans recently myself to do a little breeding project. Yours are looking nice. Did you pop a whole pack orginally? ...i know that plant came from a clone off your 'quarter pounder.' If you did pop the whole pack maybe you remeber a M / F ratio..

anyways, i have grown sweet tooth before but they didnt look like that. very squat with wide leaves. unmistakable smell. I'm not saying yours are not, could just be variation in the next generation. I'm sure she will be very good smoke if taken when shes done.

No I didn't pop the full pack but out of the 4 I tried to pop this was the only one that survived the seedling stage. Like I mentioned before these seeds are actually quite old and have proven to not be very viable. 3 popped and 2 started growing their first set of fan leaves and then stopped. This one was also pretty sick in the beginning but I managed to nurse it to health and boy am I glad I did.

The AK I'm running now is from seed. The clone I was referring to is the 3rd plant I pictured. Its mother was random bag seed that yielded very well despite being affected by root rot and needing to be pulled several weeks early.

I agree with you that the Sweet Tooth I have doesn't look like Sweet Tooth and I am very skeptical at this point that it is real. That being said I know the pot that seed came from was amazing so I expect no less regardless of what strain it actually is.

I had enough time to get a few snaps of the AK today. The resin production on this thing is amazing to me. The resolution I have to post these pictures at does the plant no justice. It is quite a thing to look at and smell up close.

A few of the pistils are starting to turn orange but for the most part they're still white. The lower buds are starting to grow up into the tops but overall they're still a bit airy. I'm hoping they start to dense up here over the next couple weeks.

I did some cropping this time around to try and get some better shots of the trichs. The buds have fattened up significantly just in 2 days.

Another 2 weeks and I'll begin to flush this one.

The others are looking good too although they are not as developed as the AK at this point. They will surely take atleast 2 or 4 weeks longer I think.

I didn't buy any. That one seed I got was from a small bud that a friend gave me. They didn't grow it out themselves but know the grower so I assumed it was legit Sweet Tooth and have been calling it that since.

I'm not sure what it is at this point but I am pretty convinced its not Sweet Tooth. If it makes buds like the one that the seed came from I wont care.

I couldn't resist. I needed more pictures to drool over.

The AK is normally only supposed to go for 7 or 8 weeks from what I've read so I'm probably going to start flushing at 46 days with the chop coming between 58 and 60 days depending on how the trichs look.

The buds are becoming developed but not as dense as I would like. I added a few more inches of soil to the top of the pot and hopefully that will help. The temp in the room is never higher then 83 degrees so I don't think its heat stress unless its a genetic issue since none of my other plants are having the same problem.

looks like yours is sativa dom big time

had a few ak48's and they were the shortest (2 feet while others were 4) and most squat plants with dense buds in the garden

During veg I run the full AN 3-part forumla. 2-3mL of Grow and Micro and 1-2mL of Bloom per 4-6L of RO water.

Since flipping I run AN Bloom, AN Mother Earth Organic Bloom tea, and Grandma's Molasses for Cal/Mag supplement. 3mL of both chem Bloom and Organic Bloom tea and just a just a little bit of Grandma per 4-6L of RO water.

The tops are fairly close to the cool tube but I am not sure exactly how far. Not close enough to be touching or anything, maybe a bit closer then I would prefer but I can rest my hand on top of the tallest bud and barely feel any warmth from the light.

I was really hoping for an indica dominant AK actually but I still have 3 more beans so hopefully I can find one there. Plus the way this one smells and looks I can't say I'm terribly disappointed.

Every female plant I've grown out so far is sativa dominant and I really want an indica for some anxiety relief so its a little frustrating but maybe next time.
