growMEDS' first grow! CFL veg cab // 150 hps flo cab

I'd go to your local hydro store and ask what they carry and recommend for mites. If you're in a non legal growth state just say it's for an edible production plant, like tomatoes. It's nice to see your plants in the new gallon bags. I can't wait to see some pics after a few days. :lurk:

Good Luck

Hoping I'm in the clear for now. Still thinkin about ordering the floramite.

Thanks man! I think they're already taking off! :)

hey growmeds, your plants are looking alright!

I've only done one indoor grow but had some mites on one of my plants and got it under control.

Some tips :

one of your plants in a couple pictures looked wilted- theyre pretty big plants for those little cups!! either feed them ample water or transplant!

I would transplant now! It doesnt hurt the plant as long as you fully soak and drain excess water in the current container (cups) and soak the new medium after you put the plant in there.. and it will only do great things for your plants!! it will give them more root space and the chance to absorb more nutrients through larger root surface (in turn the plant will grow and be healthier usually!)

in vegetative I always have a spray bottle (just water) that I always spray foliage with.. you can spray the bottom AND the tops of the leafs.. that will help keep mites away or off.. another GREAT way I read from our main man Jorge Cervantes is to use sponges. you take two sponges (you can cut one in half) and wet them.. using one hand with a sponge on top of the leaf holding steady, lightly rub the sponge across the bottom of the leaf going from the leaf stem to leaf tip.. always clean your sponges after you do this as not to spread any mites you already have to other plants (maybe a cup of water on the side to keep dipping it in and change the water between every plant?)

I have no experience with pesticides though, I'm pretty much against any chemicals that aren't organic (maybe there are organic and safe pesticides?)

Plants are loving those new bags, did you switch to 12 12 yet?

The simplicity of any grow tent amazes me. That dark room model has definately made me think about purchasing one. Still not sure how I would mount a fan in one, but it is probably easier than my mind thinks. New light and new tent looks like you mean business.

Thanks man.
I'll be switching to 12/12 when he tent is complete this weekend hopefully.

The tent is really awesome. I wish I wouldn't have wasted money on the other cabs. Now I just gotta pick one cab for veg.

I ordered a full light setup and they forgot the bulb and socket set. I was like WTF.
I would have it done otherwise.
The fan I'll mount with bunjee cords.

What does everybody think about the plant structures of the 2 lst'd vs. #3 big dark green.

#3 was supposed to be a haze. Not sure though.

Looking good. Those girls (knock on wood) are gonna love the DR80 with the 250. They were slow at first, probably rootbound, but are taking off now. How exciting.

Keep us posted on the pros & cons of the DR80. Light leaks, venting issues, etc. Is the exhaust being vented outside the room (attic, window, neighboring room)?

Thanks for following along random. :)

I have a feeling #1 & 2 are just going to grow grow grow!
Can't wait to get the 250 hps running.

I will let y'all know how the tent is.

#3 big fat leaves tight nodes is definately an indy dom pheno. # 1 and 2 look like a mix of both. 12/12 will really tell you how much sativa genes are in them though.

I thought the same. #3 is supposed to be 60/40 sat/indi.... but like you said the pheno, possibly.

I was so bummed yesterday that I havent got my tent going yet. I'm dying to switch to 12/12.

You'll have to keep everyone updated on how that Carbon Filter is working when the ladies start to smell. Seems like a CAN9000 may be a bit small for a DR80 but the CAN33 eats up a lot of headroom. It'll be interesting to see how that HTG filter does. It's a great form factor for the DR80 unlike most filters.

That S&P is a great choice. I don't recall if you have it hooked up to a speed controller or not.

Congrats on getting the tent up and running. Everything is looking very nice!

Thanks! :)

The fan is on full speed without a speed controller. Temp is 83-84 with ambient 78. Shouldn't get any hotter than that inside.
