DAMN. just read the whole article.
all i gotta say is what a boost for plant life in the area!

my god i wonder what it would've been like...
people drowning/dying from molasses?! like a giant sticky-trap for humans.
i had NEVER heard of this, after all though it is wiki...
anyone find alternate sources to back this up?

I heard about this on that show on tv that describes how things are made about two or three years ago.

15 foot high wave of molasses rolling through the streets killing people, I thought I had heard it all, lol.

this is true. This really happened. The Boston Public Library recently had a huge exhibit on this, with tons of pictures showing people knee-deep in streets of sugary goodness.
On a hot summer day you can still catch a faint whiff of that molasses - and it's been like 100 years.

what a sweet way to go out.
haha nice pun  I'm sure it was pretty unexpected to see 10 or 15 feet of molasses coming at you in a wave... I guess that one construction dude should have tested out the molasses container for cracks with water instead of molasses first. he apparently painted the container brown to hide the drip marks of molasses from the cracks - and the local residents collected it for their homes WHAT A JOKE haha
