Alpha - No I haven't used any other scrog techniques. Haven't read up too much on V-scrog at all. Any good links for me??
The scrog I have now is chilling inside a garbage can out on my balcony... The main reason for the scrog is to keep the ladies from growing outside of the can. Real security threat there where I live... Basically, I'm just trying to get some nugs for free from the 1000watter in the sky!
Alpha - Interesting, this might be a consideration after I have my boxes figured out and am looking to change something up. For now I'm looking to get in a decent supply of some quality herb and then I'll experiment with some mods.
Interesting info for sure.
As far as the garden...
Started a few New Purple Power x Hashberry. Some will go outside, some will stay inside. The last seeds from this batch were quite yummy...
Dusted the BB with some OHS#1 pollen. She's starting to show now.. So I will definitely have some beans come harvest time Had to fix up a little phosphorus problem, but I think we're back on track...
The ladies getting ready for the outdoor season are getting big. Anywhere from 6 - 9 nodes, 4 clones taken to stay inside. They will probably be going out 2/3 of the way through may...
Still waiting for my OHS#1 female inside and the trashcan ladies to transition into flowering... The OHS#1 is a stretchy bitch for sure...
Well if they're a band, they're not to happy with their manager right now. I didn't secure the screen well enough and it dropped a few inches. No damage and the screen has been remounted properly
They can take it out of my 5%...
Took some dry shots of the HG and DSD that I cut down a little while back. They are curing very nicely, but I think I need to start my flush a little earlier cause they aren't burning white. Either an earlier flush is needed or the bit of rot kept them from flushing properly
HG
DSD
Off to garden now. Might be back with some shots of the ladies...

The flower cab
BB at 38 days. Had a little phosphorus problem I believe. Did a res changeout and she has perked up a bit. Going to start the flush soon to try to really clean her out by harvest time...
OHS#1 still in transition. I'm trying to keep her tied down and propped up close to the lights, cause she wants to stretch out her legs badly.
41 days BB. Started the flush today... She's starting to shoot out her trusty nanners again. Pulled maybe half a dozen, but she's already been half seeded by the OHS#1 male
OHS#1 wants to flip out some budlets any day now... Still waiting though She really likes to grow out instead of up. Pretty crazy little lady in fact... After an aggressive LST round she looks like this.
I hope to get some outdoor plots in later this week too It's time to get to work!!!! Good luck everyone, stay safe!
Thanks a lot Irie. If your looking to test the results with your own experience I have a couple things I learned from that one...
- Don't let the ladies get too big. If the SWC is short enough, your roots end up sitting on the bottom and start to get deprived of oxygen when not above an airstone. If I did it again, I'd wait until I had a nice healthy root mass STARTED and flip to 12/12 almost immediately with a few smaller plants. The one big plant in the SWC just seemed to get choked off and rotted....
- The temps in the Res in a SWC are going to be higher than DWC for the most part. Less water means it heats up faster. I'd look into making little frozen water bottles to keep the temp down or some type of additive. I found my way over to hygrozyme. While a little expensive it lasts a while especially if you are using tiny buckets or a SWC.
Now I just use my SWC to veg
Thanks for stoppin by!
Prob get some updates in tomorrow night or thursday...
The ladies in the trashcan.... drumming on a streetlight...
strummin on my banjo...
They're getting BIG! Big, big, big big BIG!
Ok not so big but its alright...
They've been budding for 5 days now. Spending maybe the last 6 days under a 250w HPS. Thinking about a light feeding for them tommorow even though they are probably still rooting their way through that soil. A little bloom booster couldn't hurt....
BB Day 44. The flush is starting to become noticeable. The bud leaves are still a real dark green. Lower fan leaves have just begun to yellow slightly. Seeds are almost brown, but I will let her go the distance as she is about 1/2 seeded to 1/2 sensi...
