What's up everyone? This is what I currently have going on. I got 2x125w 2700K CFL's and 3x20w blues. I am using 2x23 gallon tubs. Right now there are 2xWhite Widow, 2xICE, 2 Crystal.

Here are some pics(sorry took from my phone)

Hoping to get at least 3oz's with this setup. My last test run I had one ice plant that I got 10.5g's off of, and that was before I got another 125w. Pretty sure I can do better this time around. I'm just trying to fix this heat problem, but plants seem to do ok regardless. Let me know what you guys think.

I got 2x125w 2700K CFL's and 3x20w blues.

That actually equals 310 watts, dude. Anyways, looking good. I hope you can lower the temps. I would think 310 watts is kind of overkill considering the early stage they're in, and the heat probs?

Haha dang I didn't even notice that. my bad. Yeah 310 is alot at this stage which is why I only have the blues on right now. Im pretty sure it's the blue's that are causing the heat problem, so I might just end up using the 2 reds for flowering.

Ahhh d'oh, I see now they're not all running. Got it.

Hmmm but then again, if it's that hot just from 60 watts, surely adding another 250 is going to toast things pretty severely?

Well it would seem that way, but the 125's appear to run MUCH cooler than the blues for some reason. The 125's are cool to the touch while the blues are not so much. I have actually hung a 125 parallel to one of the plants for a while and there was no burning at all. My temps with the blues and red on are just under 100 degrees. This is what I had under those conditions:

So I am debating whether I should start flowering these? I see a lot of people having great success with this method. These clones have already rooted and most have new growth. Anyone have any input?

Hey man,
Very nice looking grow you got there, i like how the inside of that rubbermaid box is white for reflection, What, if any, kind of ventilation do you have in that box? Little 80mm fans work great hooked up to a 12v adaptor of any kind, or a 6v for complete silent fans.
Im interested in your ice very much so, ive got a female seeds 4 pack of ice on the way for my upcoming pc grow. Also, it seems people get very good results going 12/12 from seed, or 1 week. Have you seen Drbudgreengenes thread? Or Microru, or mrmicro, i must say all those guys are genious and have inspired me to start on my pc growbox.
Im goona stay tuned on your thread mang, that ice looks damn fine, susposed to be one of the most potent:joint: Goodluck man!

Thanks! I got 2x120mm computer fans in there for exhaust, and a little fan at the bottom for "intake". You can see them in the pics at the top. The Ice is pretty nice. Very dense buds. I'm still waiting on this batch to finish curing, but i've had a couple samples and the buzz is pretty nice :joint:. Yeah i've been going through drdubs threads, and I think i'm going to try that out. I'm going to let them run in veg probably till the end of the weekend to let the roots settle in a little, and then start flowering.

Hah cant beleive i missed those fans. Thats crazy your still in the 90's with 3 fans total, but if it doesnt effect your plants very much then its tolerable by all means, ive grew a serious seeds bubblegum in a pc with temp well in the 90's, must say it was excellent smoke:joint: best tasting smoke ive ever had. But yeah drbud claims 7-10G in those 20 oz bottles depending on strain, i was skeptical, but then read a couple follow up threads of people mimicking his grows, with similar results, cant wait to try out that 20 oz method in a pc, dont think ive seen that done yet.

If you got the room it always pays off to do a longer veg. indeed. Im goona try mine 12/12 from seed, ill probably get 1-2 weeks before seeing preflowers anyway. Cannot wait to try the ice, what, if any, seedbank is yours from? And have ya got any dry budshots? Very nice looking plant if i must say so myself. It would be damn cool if you posted a smoke report once their cured in the cannabis/hash smoke reports thread.

Thanks for posting photos of your grow man, fat rob

Yeah I don't really know what the problem is. But the plants don't seem to mind at all. I've been thinking about getting a blue 125w, since they appear to run a lot cooler, and have a 375w set up. If I could get 10g+/- I would be very happy. I think it's doable though.

Here are some shots of the curing ice. I thought they would be a little more "icy", but we will see how it goes next time around. I'll be sure to post up a smoke report when this is done.

oh and the seeds are from marijuana-seeds.nl

i find the 23-26 watt CFL's suck. They are actually hotter than the 42watt and 68watt cfl's I have bought. Seriously.

I had a similar box, with more or less wattage of CFL and two plants and I got 26 grams off one and 30 off the other(first grow too!)

Nice! 26 grams off a plant would be amazing.

I don't really have that much of an intake. It's just a 6"x6" cut in the box with a small fan blowing in front of it. I had the fan mounted flush on the box, but I found it created to much noise and thats not really a good thing. For outtake I have the 2x120 mm computer fans. It's in a closet, but the room temp is about 76-79 degrees.

yeah man, just gotta give the plants waht they ask for, nice temps, etc etc.. Don't overwater either..

that was my first run with cfls. my second time around I did 12/12 from seed, 4 plants, ended up getting 20-25 grams off 3 of em' basically, and then got like 37 grams off another. had about 400-500 watts of CFL bulbs!(cfl's call for constant changes!!)

right now I overvegged, hehe, and got Bushes going, with cfls' i'm hoping for 2 or more O's off each plant..

Damn dude thats goona be some nice smoke when its cured. i think i saw another thread of an awesome looking purple ice pheno, that was also apparently from marijuana seeds.nl Some nice strains coming off that site indeed. I just recieved my female seeds pack of ICE this morning, gypsey sent it out on tuesday, and here it is 4 days later, not bad at all. Also, i requested an indica dominent strain for a freebie Because of my pc grow, sure enough, today i got 2 freebies. First one is 5 Mossy's Mix 100% Auto-Flowering mixed hybrids.(very happy about this one). Second one is Mazar-I-Sharif 6-8 weeks flowering. Perhaps ill plant the second freebie outdoors tomorrow. Ill be getting my pc grow up and running soon. Very happy with my seed order. hope those autoflower's are good, expensive genetics no?

Do you use any nutrients? Only nutrients i have used are advanced nutrients Dr hornby's iguana juice grow and bloom. i followed the directions on the bottle and got excellent results, ive liked it so much i still havent used any thing else, i fertilize right up untill the day before harvest.

Yeah they got some pretty decent strains. The Crystal is supposed to be no joke, so i'm anxious to see how that turns out. Dang that is pretty fast shipping. Usually takes a couple weeks for me. Those Auto-flower stains are pretty interesting. Don't know what is deal is exactly with them though. I hear mixed opinions. Yeah they are pretty pricy. How much are you looking to yield with them?

Yeah I use nutrients. Not sure exactly which ones though(my friend has the bottles), but I think it is the 3 part flora series. It worked great on my last grow though. I had a little nut burn though. Have you tried using any bloom boosters? I was thinking of trying out Flora Nova or Bloombastic.

Well, i read this thread right here of "mossy" growing out these autoflowering seeds, and it looks like hes got them out in full sunlight the whole day, in 3-5 gal pots, and yielding 1-2 ounces that way, keeping in mind his strains are usually staying below 20". Which is really the only reason why i want them for my pc grow, they stay short. Im thinking in 20 oz bottles, (drbud style), or larger grow medium if necessary, i should pull off 5-7 grams per plant with cfl's in that case. I beleive the original lowryder was not cloneable, but mossy is talking about selecting mothers in his Autoflowering thread, therefore, perhaps these strains are cloneable, ill have to get that clarified up. This is mossys thread right here http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=97243

Ive never used bloom boosters but i hear good things, right now im too simple minded to use any chemical nutrients, i dont measure ph and ec and that sort of thing, i guess ive just fallen into my ways of organic. Although, i have really been considering fox farm's gear. Ive seen excellent results with people using their dry(soluble) nutrients beastie blooms, cha ching and open sesame.

Im loving the gypsy though, same guy who runs this website. After ordering from him via cash and money order for the last couple years i used my credit card, website said my order was shipped on tuesday, and this morning i got my package, with 2 5 pack freebies. From UK to south midwest usa in 4 days. gotta love it.

Ill tell you though, I really reap the benefits using iguana juice to the last day of harvest though, as opposed to having to use straight water on your plants the last 2 weeks with chemical nutrients(the flush). Next up ill probably get avanced nuted carboload, its susposed to be good.

I've had the same 6 42w CFLs running for close to a year now and they are still bright as fuck!! I think when using CFLs the biggest key is Mylar and not the white paint... Once I covered my white walls with Mylar and the ceiling too I had a 20% increase in how bright my cab was so I feel I'm getting the most out of my bulbs this way too:joint:

yeah I make do, with my space, I've kind of overgrown my self Right now i'm using 3 68 watt, 3 42watts, a 26 watt + a t12 i think 36wattx2? notsure... I always add more and more, from different angles, as the plants get bigger I change the setup, mind you I've got a tall narrow closet not a cabinet. i agree with you i noticed good bit more light with the mylar(i still need more mylar)

I used mylar on my old set up. It reflects a lot of light, but I have found that over time it gets smudgey, and doesn't seem reflect as much light. White is much cleaner imo and still pretty bright.
