damp bud stored too long smells funny

i have a big bag that i left stored a little damp for over a week and it has a sharp kinda rotton fruit smell. is there any way to get rid of this? will it be less sharp smelling once its dried fully?

maybe it was some fruity smelling bud with mold on it hence the rotten fruit ?

naw, its 250g of dry stuff that i rewetted and left too wet for too long, no mold, just smells like spoiled fruit, the other bags that i stored dryer smell fine.

i'm aware of that, however the bud looks good and the smell isn't too harsh,

I'm wondering about possible fixes to improve the smell a bit.

Rewetted? You should never get your flowers wet. Let the buds dry and air out out of the bag, or put em in a paper bag.

can somebody please answer the question without assuming I'm a retard.

I don't need to learn how to dry bud, I don't need to know WHY it smells funny.
I asked if there are any tips to improving the smell, I'd rather not take a several hundred euro hit because the bud doesn't smell good.

My only recommendation is to let it dry out a bit, and put it all in glass jars (preferably not packed too tight). Cure away. You may have to alter the 'standard' burping schedule, but you should be able to figure it out.

if that doesnt work and the smell doesnt subside, you could water cure it. less bag appeal and fragrance but will be a smooth smoke.

Never do that to bud, once you introduce moisture again it ruins the bud IMO. You have bacteria and molds on there man, dry it out, and don't ever do that again LOL

Dang dealers trying to get an extra gram end up ruining the bud...LOL

well if it has any form of mold you need to kill it

sun can do it but will degrade the thc

I would consider making hash from it but if ya want the weed left as is I hear wonderful things about water curing
