Stoner Safe Careers

This is a question for some of the older heads that I think will help some of the youngers heads like myself that still are trying to figure out our direction in life. I want to see some stoner safe careers not jobs, but somthing you can do for the rest of your life and make a decent living. I know with most things there is always a risk when you are a cannabis connoisseur but I am looking for some pot freindly careers. It dosn't matter if said career involves college I'm just trying to get some ideas.

Thx for any and all response's!

Electrician maybe? self made business for sure..get a trade and start your own LLC..become your own boss..be a contractor...that's about it...nothing is for sure unless you work for yourself. You have to run the show to make the rules.

Just think what kind of skills are needed to give you that possibility. Don't work for other people.

UPS driver, zero drug test, killer benefits like 55-60k a year.

this is DEFINITELY NOT a stoner friendly career. The very first time you get into an accident, they will test you on the spot...no questions asked...even if you aren't at fault. Matter of fact, no job where you have to drive on the clock is stoner friendly, unless you own the business.

I've been in IT for 13 years or so, and for the most part it's stoner-friendly. In fact, the most talented outfits have the highest ratio of stoners (google for example). The most talented anaylsts I know smoke the most.

There are a lot of places that will test, but if you're willing to put in the work to be a subject matter expert on something like programming (where you can even work from home and write your own paycheck!), or routing/switching, UNIX, etc, then you can get a job with an outfit u that values talent and r&D versus showing up and pushing buttons, which is very stoner-safe and rewarding.

Again, programmers are the most free with what they do, AND get to call the shots with hours and drugs more often than anyone else. Also, they make more money than most in IT. If you were to become a Java programming expert, you could have carte blanche with hours, salary and urine metabolites.

IF you think you'd like IT of course. It can get frazzling.

EDIT:

By extension, it seems that the most innovative scientists and subject matter experts I know (in any field) are the most prone to smoke pot and the least likely to be tested. If you can find your niche and become in-demand, you stand less of a chance of being tested when they really want you around. It's the jobs that think of you as just another % of turnover that will test you.

taxi driving if you can drive stoned that is.......

And me, I'm flying in my taxi,
Taking tips, and getting stoned,
I go flying so high, when I'm stoned.

Become a gardener, not just the kind that know how to use a lawnmover, but one that really knows his shit about flowers, plants etc. then you combine your knowledge with your homegrowing and start a small shop (online) selling your expertise to all the hobby folks out there and I am not talking about the ganja ppl only, also the suburban ladies etc. maybe youll even get the chance to get the same rights as the postman sometimes has:jerkit:
But remember once you start your shop, dont grow a big garden of ganja keep a few not one that gets you in trouble cause they will check up on you...

if you dont work for yourself, then go to school for as long as you can tolerate it

blue collar jobs are more likely to drug test you; education is key

The way I see it is, if you do a really good job your boss won't care what you do in your free time.

If he does, well fuck him, I'm sure someone else will be glad to have a good worker and won't care about your private life.

The only catch is that you gotta do a good job...

Gardening!!!

It can be hard physical work but sometimes can also be really easy (making nice shapes of bushes, planting flowers etc.)

I have been working now in gardening for more than a year. On a field, parks, rich peoples houses, greenhouses etc. And I must tell you it can be a really good bussines if you know how to run things!

My boss lets me to smoke and from my experience most of the gardeners will accept weed, even those old farts.

Besides you gain knowledge and experience usefull in life and for cultivation of cannabis!
