Be careful what you Twitter or put on Facebook or Myspace because ppl are losing jobs for their posting there.....

eg. A police officer lost his job for saying "I collect human garbage for a living"

Now he prolly deserved it maybe...but he was kidding....
.but there are other examples of firings about postings.

I am retired and don't do those social interacting on those kind of sites...but those who do be careful.

Of course people can lose their jobs. Whatever you say on the internet when you are not anonymous can be used against you by your enemies and people who simply don't like what you say or do, including any employers.

I wouldn't EVER use one of those sites, and although there are several Stoner4Life's listed
on those sites none of them would be me, oooooooh collecting e-friends how thrilling!

I certainly hold any friends/relationships garnered through ICMag in the highest regards, as
grower/members we have much more in common than those people just looking to have the
most friends online as if that in itself was an accomlishment.......

WTF is a twitter? I can only assume it's a way for the Morons to mass
Twit-The noun meaning "foolish, stupid and ineffectual person" is first attested 1934 in British slang, popular 1950s-60s, crossed over to U.S. with British sitcoms. It probably developed from the verb sense of "reproach" but may be influenced by nitwit.

LOL! My pops just told me about one of his mechanics thinking his layoff was approaching. (but it wasnt, they were going to keep him). And he posted all kinds of shit talking about the company and its owners. Somebody got the blog, copied it and faxed it to the corporate office and it was waiting on his desk when he came in along with a note that said you parking spot belongs to ***** now. In ohter words "you're fired!"

LOL! What an idiot! Just one more reason why nobody should get in to "spyspace"

hahah I know, part of me thinks that not everybody should to be able to go online or have personal web space they can just post their stupid shit on. I don't want to be selfish though. Whatever, I just don't partake.

Damn those myspace fools made out well though...they are huge. It's become a household name. It's crazy how many hits they get.

Honestly though, the beauty of the internet is the ability to remain anonymous. The anonymity of the internet is slowly being taken away. Not good. I go through IP addresses all the time. It's easier to do if you have a router..still can be tracked but why not. It would be better if we were on dial up connections with programs to keep it all anonymous. Sadly the dialup is slow. I don't even do anything illegal and I still want anonymity. Should not post to much about oneself like myspace(ect) enables..it makes vanity and self absorbed mentalities wide spread. sucks.

i have a myspace...to keep some shred of contact between myself and friends i moved away from years ago ... apparently calling someone just to talk to them is obtrusive..whatever.

i would never put personal info on it, mine is basically like everything removed except for a couple of lines.
