PH or Food? Whiteberry /chocolope grow

Hello, im having some trouble with my plants, as some leafs are falling and getting dry ... :S

on the chocolope i also have the leafs curled inwards as you can see on the third pic, but she is like this since ever :S

They are in 25 liter pots, with a 400lamp on them, using batmix from plagron and ghe flora series and bloombooster.

as i was told to only give them food after 6 weeks, i only feed them a few times...

are the symptoms on the leafs from a high ph due to my tap water, or its plain lack of food?
btw do they look stuned?those fotos are day 35 flower

Can you fill out the questions below so me or anyone else can help you out more, your problem could be caused by a few things and to rule them out we need more grow information.....

As for the first picture, that looks like a nitrogen deficiency, caused by mostly lack of, but you also have another problem that is just barely showing up...... as with the 2nd picture that is heat, dry heat or light being too close.... could be either but can't tell you which one yet without more information.......

SOIL:

How long has this problem been going on?
What STRAIN are you growing?
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)
What is the age of your plants?
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now?
How Tall are the plants?
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc)
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot)
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)
What Nutrient's are you using?
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
How often are you feeding?
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients?
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect)
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?
How often are you watering?
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?
What size bulb are you using?
What is the distance to the canopy?
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)
What is the canopy temperature?
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ?
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?
Are you using water from a water softener?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Are plant's infected with pest's?

Also for 25 days flowering they look nice, not to mention with you not using a lot of ferts they showed nitrogen deficiency late which is good, I would feed some nitrogen, little bit of it for 1 or 2 feedings then cut it off and let the plant natrually yellow towards the middle to end of flowering like it is supposed too.

Just like corn towards the end before harvest..... if it was a week older those leaves would have yellowed on time and you would not have to do anything.......

Hell if you want too you don't have to give it nitrogen now, but I would if they were my plants....... What nitrogen supplements do you have?

They are at day 35, and on my chocolope there are a lot of small leafs just drying off :s

the leafs are crispy, i didnt knew nitrogen would turn them crispy at the end...

i Have ghe grow flora series, next watering ill try to give them some of those...

i raised the lamp also amore 20 cm, im using a darkroom so im hoping i wont leak out enough much more light by raising the thing right?also the fan blowing at them and the light wasnt raised in a long time, so it was blowing air under the cannopy :S so it was hot you were right!!

but those falling leafs bellow are giving me headache as i dont know what it is, and i cant water until it dries up to try to fix it...

here is the data
How long has this problem been going on?1.5 weeks/2
What STRAIN are you growing?chocolope(cannalope pheno, white berry)
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)seed
What is the age of your plants?young?lol
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now?vegged in 3 litter pots then transplanted to 25 liter pots and started flowering
How Tall are the plants?1meter
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?36 days flower
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc)bending to get a scrog with no net
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot)25 liter
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)batmix by plagron
What Nutrient's are you using?ghe flora serires and biobloom
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? flora serires like recommended by the ghe fellows...used it a few times.
How often are you feeding?after 4 weeks with no nutes, started feeding 1 per week.
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients?after first pistil and when it got dry
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect)micro first
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?no baterie sorry
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?7.5 last time then i brought it down but could measure it last time cause the pots weight a ton after the water runs off and i was alone.
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?drops
How often are you watering?when the pot is light...sometimes too light only hapened once though lol
What size bulb are you using?400 watt
What is the distance to the canopy?before 15 cm, now 40 or 50 lol(adjust a wings with spreader)
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)dont know :s got no gear for that
What is the canopy temperature?
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ?
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?yes
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?no
Is your water HARD or SOFT?hard
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?n
Are you using water from a water softener?n
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?n
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?n
Are plant's infected with pest's?n

thanks for the help

Leaves dropping is inetivable, that is just the process the plant goes through.

Right now your plant should have started to show nitrogen issues in about another week 1/2 so it was just slightly deficient in nitrogen.
Towards the middle to end of flowering the leaves will drop due to low nitrogen levels, you want this to happen as it's a part of the way the plant grows and goes through.

Are you using any nitrogen at all?
If not you need to use something with nitrogen in it, and try to use something with only nitrogen, because you are using bloom ferts and you want to avoid adding another P or K in with it cause you can end up burning them.

Fish emulsion works good.

You should only use it for a week or 2 and cut it off and let the plant naturally yellow and it will drop leaves.

If you are using nitrogen, just slightly up the dosage you are using. GH is safe to go by there directions 90% of the time.

Your pH, does not look out of wack, it's just a simple nitrogen issue your having :)

oic, thanks a lot for the info, i tought it could be ph cause i saw nitrogen deficiencies before but never so much the leaf would dry out :)

i decided to up the dosage of flora grow, cause i always put less than it says on the bottle, i also raised the pk ratio a litle bit cause i saw some redness in the stems and according to plagron the fertilizer ends up after 6 weeks so...

thanks a lot on the info ;)

btw ripen by ghe, is good for flushing or is bad for the flavour?

These plants are tellin me with they're bottom leaves yellowing that they're hungry, and need to be fed alil more often. At 5 weeks and only bein fed a few times would confirm it I think..... If you look at the picture of the top you see dark green leaves that are curled under. This is tellin ya to back off on the N and change the ratio to more P and K...... I mean no one any disrespect, but that's what I see...... They are still very nice plants though. :woohoo: Enjoy yer harvest! Good luck, BC

I can't tell you about that product, because I never used clearx or anything related to helping flush, but I can tell you is that all it does it flush your plants in a hurry, like if you forgot to start flushing and you need it flushed quickly, those will flush um out in a hurry, but I think they are a waste of money really, a good flush with just water a week or 2 before harvest is good enough.

oic, i always flush i just tought it would either increase the yield due to the flush or increase flavour...i have it already so ill just use it i guess lol

btw you said it was nitrogen, but many of the new leafs are the ones who's falling and drying...shouldnt be the bigger fan leafs first?

i watered them yesterday with a N bump

i personally think they look over fertilized..just my opinion..

From the pictures you posted it looks the lower to middle leaves are having this problem.... I do not see any of the newer growths having any issues..... could you please upload a picture of the problem you are speaking of?

AS for nitrogen, nitrogen can affect new growth, only if it's nearly full grown leaves.... it will not affect a leaf while it is still forming..... nitrogen is mobile and can affect any leaves after a certain age.

hello again, here are the pics thanks for the help.

chocolope:

white berry

I can see why you would say the white berry is overferted, but i barely gave her food...and like it said on the label of the soil, after 6 weeks the deficiencies would come, im just not sure if it can be maybe ph issue?
maybe im wrong though...what you ppl think?

thanks a lot for the help.the first pics is one of the new growth leaf dying off...the leaf feels soft to the touch before it dries out, in that pic it still was very soft and moist apart from beeing that way...all those small fallen leafs are in the lower part of the plant btw.

Yup, the tan spots you are refearing too, I call this issue a "sparse" nitrogen issue, this means your right on the line of giving the plant enough nitrogen ( I am refearing to the last picture you posted in your post #11) to use. This causes a "spotty effect" splotches of yellow parts in the leaves.. Around mid flowering this problem happens; have not seen it happen early flowering, either it would be a nitrogen D or none at all.

This spotty effect happens when the plant wants to naturally start removing nitrogen deposits.

So the tan you are seeing is due to the plant sucking that small part of the leaf dry and the tissue is totally dead. It may look like over feeding, only the fact because the leaf look like it died the same way nute burn leaves look, but if you look closer you will find that the leaf on the bottom has some yellow around the tan, this is exactly what a spotty N issue looks like.

The tan tissue you are seeing is from the plant causing the damage and not something you gave it.... like nute burn.

oic, ive been pumping theyr nutes now, apart from the white berry which is already in flush...

do they look nice or this N issue will reduce my yield a lot?

And nice lecture on nitrogen deficiencies, i didnt knew they could come in patches :$

Nope, you got enough to go through; so don't worry!
If they start going too fast and dropping like flies then small dosage as long as it's not given the last 2 weeks before harvest.

They look good, just ease up slightly on the nutes some don't like the high dosages!
Yup, seen it many times; it also happend to me once in a while too!

ok ill try to chill out lol, this crop has to be enough for the next six months until i end up my after summer harvest lol, thats why im so worried :$

anyways they seem nice, apart from the white berry which is flushing with those patches...never saw such a fuggly plant in flush lol, rather much prefer those rainbow tones :D

on the other hand the chocolope smells wonderfully its the cannalope pheno though, and is still missing almost a month and has red stems(lack of P?) and that nitrogen deficiency...thats why i uped the nutes (just a lil bit though ;)

thanks a lot for the help you rock :D

Purple stems is not a sure sign that it's a P issue, lots of strains have purple hues.... it's the deep dark color you want to worry about, once the color hits the stems when it is a P issue, they never revert back to it's color.......

It's not too often though it strikes the stems.... more over it happens to the leaves...

sorry to bother you again but i think they getting worse...maybe i overwatered them??:S

the leafs keep faling off, but not in great amounts like you said, when they get tottaly crispy up to the stem i remove them so they wont block the light...about 2 leafs a day...?

the thing is all leafs are droopy maybe its cause the photos were taken when the dark period was starting, but still the other plants arent droopy :S

here are some pics , sorry for having troubles all the time lol

one of the issue:

one of the grow...3 days to cut the whiteberry on the left side(so they say maybe 10 lol), chocolope on the right side has at least until 30/may (thats why im worried lol)
and on the front 2 F3 ice cool (NYC diesel hybrids) which i dont know how long will last but the more indica should be the time of the chocolope and the other maybe more 10 days or so...the F2 lasted forever lol

what could be causing this droopiness?im used to see them praying to the skies and i noticed the chocolope aint drinking much for the past days...as the pot is still very heavy...

Only a few show a little bit of overwatering, which is ok; around this time anyways you want that!

Ya, they drop leaves like mad, that is normal.

Your leaves have showed various problems in your grow..... for one it shows nitrogen which is normal at this time, some overwatering and I think one or 2 show old nutrient burn. All those leaves that are affected by the problems I listed above, with exception to overwatering.... will not heal.

The plants will droop before the lights come on and before the lights go off, they get used to a certain schedule the person puts them on, after about 2 weeks of this schedule you will see they adjusted and start to droop.

im ubber dumb, the droopyness was lack of water, the buckets are 25 liter, so when i picked them up in the morning they seemed heavy...when i got there the next day the pot was so light...and the plants soo droopy :(

anyways i didnt noticed nute burning this time on the plants, if you mean the claw thing, they have that since day one in light mix, my chocolope was born that way :S

if not what was the sign?i tottaly missed it tought it was ph llol
